My Element remote control suddenly stopped working. I put in new batteries but that didn't work. My TV is a 32 inch HD Digital LCD TV. Please help! Ginny

Good luck. I have the same issue. No codes are available for the X2Gen. To make matters worse, it appears to use a non-standard frequency for the carrier signal, maening that other remotes won't work with the TV.

I purchased a learning remote, thinking I would just "teach" it the codes directly from the X2Gen TV remote. This didn't work either.

There appears to be no way to use any remote other than the one supplied with the TV. Whatever you do, don't lose it!

Use the search function, but don't give up. It takes about 20 minutes to find the correct code.
Here are the instructions

• Set the "Mode Switch" to the desired mode such as TV for a Television.
• Press and hold the "Mute" button and the "Select" button until the visible LED blinks twice.
• Enter the code "991" followed by the "device number"
  1. for Televisions
  2. for "AUX 1" devices - VCRs or DVDs
  3. for "AUX 2" devices - Audio
• You can step through the setup codes for this mode by pressing the "Channel Up" key to go forward through the codes or pressing the "Channel Down" key to go back to the previous codes.
• You can try out each code by pressing one or more function keys such as power, volume or digit keys.
• When you've found the setup code that works for your device, press the "Select" key.

my tv remote wont work i bought a new one but it requires you to enter a code and i dont have it. the tv is a technika 32-601 the codes 1484,0193,0363 dont work anyone know the right code

I succeeded is using the DirectTV remote control for the Emerson 42" plasma TV, by using a Samsung code. On my TV, was 10060. If this one does not work, there are a bunch of others that might work. Good luck

I just called Dynex because I had the same problem. Remove the batteries and press the power button and hold it down for 15-20 seconds, put the batteries back in and try to power on and power off, change channels, etc... if so the remote is fine. The guy told me that sometimes when you need to replace the batteries you also have to re-set the remote control.
