ZTE n817 wont power up with power button. ZTE screen comes on with android logo briefly followed by a fully charged green battery image when power cord is plugged in or out of phone.

Should have stuck with iPhone :>/

Try a hard reset.

Power off.
Press and hold the power button and the volume Up button until you see the Recovery Console.

Choose a Reboot and if that doesn't work, same procedure and click Reset.

Try to remove battery for 10 min. If it still reboots its a hardware problem -return phone.

It requires removal of battery and then insert card then replace battery

Hold down power button and up button it will turn off, it will come back on scroll down to reset click it, next click on yes, it will then reboot back to factory.

2: Hold volume DOWN (not up) and POWER BUTTON simultaneously until ZTE logo appears
3: With volume keys scroll down to wipe data/Factory reset press POWER button to accept
4: Scroll down to YES press POWER button to accept
5: Press POWER button on Reboot Phone and phone should restart like right out of the box

Many forums say volume up and power button but that is only for FTM mode on ZTE N817. So remember VOLUME DOWN AND POWER takes you to screen where u can choose to reset etc.

The robot dude meant it was loading up the system settings to the next screen so you can wipe off corrupted data that prevents the tablet from completing startup.usually an incomplete update.So
as follows ... Hold power button to switch off tablet....then hold power button and volume up together for at least ten seconds.let the robot appear and do nothing until the menu option comes up to ask you to factory restore.you will lose all your apps and data.if the robot comes on and gets stuck make sure the tablet is fully charged and repeat the two button hold as this may take several attempts.sometimes Chinese technology is unpredictable.

get into emergency recovery mode, most Androids use the up/down volume at the same time while turning it on. release the power button when it displays the first logo but keep the volume buttons down till you see the Android logo. volume down button to see the first menu read the screen follow the prompts for factory reset Plus wipe data. ****** warning: make sure your battery is fully charged before doing this *********
