Can you set up, AND use, CHROMECAST, with ONE mobile phone/tablet that has mobile data?
After losing my mind trying to figure out how to set up and use Chromecast with the internet from my phone, I gave up. 2 other people have since tried, using their phones, but none of us can speak GoogleGeek!!
The over-use and generalization of the term WIFI is the problem. If you turn on WIFI on phone, it's to ACQUIRE an internet connection. If you want to give ACCESS to someone/thing else, you turn on your mobile hotspot, so THEY are using WIFI via your mobile data internet service.
But, Google refuses to distinguish between these in explaining how to set up Chromecast with a mobile device! Grrr.. So, not sure when they refer to Chromecast device and WIFI, which is connecting to what?? YOU CANNOT TURN ON WIFI AND MOBILE HOTSPOT AT THE SAME TIME!? And why do you need to turn on WIFI if you have mobile data internet already?!
And I don't know if Google assumes I can connect to WIFI at my house, cuz I cant- that's why I pay Verizon for mobile data! And, no, I don't have home internet, and neither does anyone I know!
Can someone simply answer:
Is it possible to use Chromecast with my single internet source, which is Verizon mobile data? If not, I'm getting rid of the useless Chromecast device!
If yes, could someone walk me through it? Its been sitting around for a couple months now.. Grrrrr!
Re: Can you set up, AND use, CHROMECAST, with ONE mobile...
Wifi data from tablets and phone are not strong enough to support speeds and loads needed for steaming with these devices. They are only designed to work with house wifi and strong routers. Chromcast, Roku, fire sticks,Ge, Sony etc. streaming devices will not work on mobile data
If it is suppose to connect with wifi then make sure in settings that your wifi is on in our tablet. Or if it is suppose to connect with blue tooth then make sure your blue tooth is on in your tablet.
Most cell phones have a built-in wireless hotspot option. On Android, go to Settings, under Wireless and Networks there should an option for Tethering & portable hotspot, setup the hotspot settings first, then turn on the hotspot, and make sure your 3G/4G/etc data is enabled, then have your tablet connect via wireless to your phone's hotspot and you're good to go. Good luck.

Set up your TV with Chromecast built-in from: 1. Android phone or tablet (Android 4.1 and higher)
2. iOS phone or tablet (iOS 8.0 and higher) Read in detail here...
Download the Chromecast App to your phone or tablet. Open the app, search for your Chromecast device and set the device up by telling it your router SSID (name) and password.
I believe you can do it with a PC by going to the Chromecast website.
what provider?
are you using their equipment ?
did the router or network name change or password?
Are you certain both chromecast and ipad are connecting to same network ?
chromecast only works on 2.4ghz networks
can you use your phone or another device
sounds like cast is trying to connect to old network and ipad is on new network
If you don't mind losing data on the phone - restore it in iTunes.
If you do mind losing data, contact FBI - they may be able to share with you how they bypass iPhone pass codes, but I would not hold the breath.

Hi, this depends heavily on your Wifi network speed, try with a lower resolution/quality show, and see if you get the same effect. Keep in mind that your wifi network's bandwidth is a bit low for full HD quality.
You can also try to limit all other activity on your network by turning off the wifi connection on other mobile devices that is connected to your network.
Hi, did they set your Wifi password back to the original one you had?
Can you still connect to your Wifi network with your phone or tablet?
Ensure that your Wifi password on your modem is the same as before or go though the initial setup again to enable that Chromecast to connect to your network again.
