Hoover visionHD vhd 842-80 will not complete its cycle (does not spin) lights flashing are 1200 &time saver button

Mine done the exact same thing and it was the bushes that went not the pump, so you can change them your self if you can

i would check the motor carbons it could be your problem if it fills goes through the programme until the end but has motor action

Hoover error E08

hi I had this fault, google said it was tachometer fault. the e08 fault on my hoover optima was not the tachometer, i checked it, but the fix was very easy, the motor brushes were worn out and i changed them for 10 quid, I made a video of it its on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYn-f78GB4U and it shows you how to test the tacho and how to change the brushes, hope this helps someone

this will be your carbon brushes this will only cost £15 at the most pull your washer out now tip it back so u can get under it the carbon brushes are fitted on each side by 2 screws there are only 2 carbon brushes on your motor

WASHING MACHINE FILLS WITH WATER AT START THEN STOPS SHOWING ERROR 5

the usual issues with this type of washer is the relay board located inside the top of the unit. as i remember mfgs make a nice unit but are not so good for sealing the electronics off from the rest of the unit. chances are some moisture is up in the relay or relay socket. easy access you will see several relays. pull and tag each as you do to avoid confusion. check for corrision build up on any part of this unit. this should help.. gl k

SOURCE: cleaning washing machine filter

There is no filter on this machine. The gray gooey substance is sludge (dirt) build up inside the tub. This can be caused from using too much detergent or a detergent that is not HE (high efficiency).
You can try running an empty cycle using the hottest water available with products such as "washer fresh", "affresh" or a cup of bleach to remove the build up.
Remember to use a HE detergent and you only need about 2 tablespoons per regular load.
