SOURCE: authentication problem when trying to connect to wifi
This tablet is running Android ICS. If the wireless you are connecting to is using WPA or WPA2 security you will need to set it to WEP or none for your tablet to work. This is known bug.

wrong settings entered on tablet, try again. If possible connect tablet first via usb cable to computer or router to try connecting it , to determine the actual fault on connections.
The wifi connection might have mac address filtering on. If this is your router, change this setting or add your device's mac address in the table. If this is not yours, ask the provider to add your mac address. This might cost you for another connection. See if this solve the problem and let me know if not. We have to consider other factors.
Good luck.
SOURCE: How can I fix it?
Hi
Without detailed information about your make & model of tablet, it is difficult to be specific as to the solution.
However some points can be made.
You say you are connected to WiFi, but can you read emails and go to websites eg, Google, Facebook etc? If you can then it could be that your WiFi access point is set up to prevent downloads. If you can't then I would suggest that although it is saying its connected, there is further information to be entered before full Internet access is allowed.
Hope this is of some help, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

Reset router to factory, you can find info on the web, then turn the security off, once logged on you can turn it back on.
