SOURCE: Ryobi impact drill compatibility with normal drill bits
Round bits are not compatible with the Ryobi impact drivers. You need the hex shank "quick connect" bits and accessories. There is an adapter available. it is basically a regular style of keyless drill chuck with the quick connect hex shank that should fit right in to your Impact.

put a box end wrench 7/16 or a 3/8 over the bit. put the bit in a vise. Lightly tap the wrench with a hammer while holding the relase sleeve back. usually need 2 people. 1 to hold the drill and the sleeve and 1 to hold the wrench and hammer. try a little tranny fluid or wd40 in the chuck. don't use the painted bits. use onle the chrome ones
SOURCE: how do you replace the brushes on a Bosch Drill GSB18-2RE
The brushes are usually accessable from the outside, sometimes not, but just remove the plastic cover with a screwdriver, with it unplugged and the brush pops out, replace with one the same size.

Sounds like a shorted Armature, best solution is to replace it.

Hi there,
The speed shift slider switch wasn't lined up correctly when the unit was reassembled.
Unfortunately, you going to need to repeat the disassemble/reassemble process once more.
I've been there. It doesn't take much to be out of alignment. Set everything to the lowest setting (clutch, speed) and take your time.
Best regards
Mike
