High Temperature Error - Software (Fatal Error) The temperature inside the fusing unit exceeded 225°C (437°F) for more than 1 sec. ? After this error has occurred three times, the machine will shut down and must be released with the Smart Organizing Monitor and serviced by a service technician. ? Main board defective ? PSU defective (TRIAC short) ? After servicing the machine to solve the problem, the service technician must execute a "Fuser SC Reset". Otherwise, the machine will continue to issue this SC code and cannot be operated.

Ricoh mpc4500 with sc 221 manual says(Laser synchronizing detection error: start position [K]: LD1),also have old unit with sc 220 want to know what is LD0. LD1 and LDB
Usually these errors are caused by a faulty polygon mirror motor (polygon scanner). The problem here is that the polygon causes the BICU to short out. So you would need to replace the BICU and the laser unit together to rectify this problem.

For a solution to your dilemma, I recommend that you first replace the brushes, then to reset the error code C9 hold down the pre-wash & short wash together and turn the control knob from off to gentle spin. this sequence should clear the C9 from your washer.
