SOURCE: Brew unit in Miele coffee system CVA615 block

It sounds like the connector or wiring that links the LCD display board on the door to the main PCB inside the coffe maker has become loose or damaged.
This would cause the text displayed to become scrambled.
Its a 26 way connector that is labelled JP16 (on the next model up) and is next to a large IC.

SOURCE: leaks at the hot water spout during coffee brew

I had the same problem. I ended up taking the coffee machine apart and found that the reason coffee trickles out around the hot water spout is that the two coffee nozzles were partially plugged. Since I Had parts of the coffee machine apart I was able to clean it easily. It may also be possible to clean the assembly using a pick of some sort and clean out the holes of the two normal coffee spouts. Inside it is just a open cavity so gentle poking around and using some steaming hot water may do the trick.
If you want to take the machine apart you need to do the following: 1) take of the warmer plate on the top - 2 storz screws but an allen key works as well 2) take off the top plate of the machine - another 4 or 5 screws - make sure you empty the beans first otherwise you will have a mess 3) remove one screw from the right hand side of the removable coffee ground tray. Once this screw is removed the front panel is free to swing open except for the pipes connecting the front 4) unclip the steam assembly - there are a couple of plastic catches on the top. this will free the steam assembly from the front panel and also free a pipe connections. The steam dispenser pipe will also come free from the steam assembly. 5) remove the coffee pipes from the up and down sliding coffee dispenser. This is a small whitish color clip with 2 pipes connecting into it. The white clip has a little plastic catch on the top that frees it. The front panel should now swing open freely. 6) remove the sliding coffee dispenser from the front door. There are 4 plastic catches, 2 on either side. the whole front sliding coffee displenser now comes free 7) Take the sliding dispenser apart by release the 4 plastic catches on the front curved planel. 8) Inside the sliding dispenser is a white plastic piece that connected to the piping released in step 5. There is a small plastic catch that needs to be pressed while pulling fairly hard on the plastic piece and bending the whole piece. 9) You will now see the plugged spouts. It goes back together really easily.

SOURCE: Saeco Odea Go - Hot water leaks from bottom of machine

That's leaking from the hoses coming out from the boiler,if the machine is new it should be still under warranty, may have to take it back to the service center. When making coffee the lines are under pressure and the water never have a chance to pass through the ground coffee.

SOURCE: My Miele CVA620 machine announces 'Expel Air,' and

I'm probably to late for this answer, but I will share it anyway.
I got this problem after buying a used CVA620, that had not been used for a while.
To solve the problem i used a breast pump :-)
My wife had this doublepump after the last kid. And I used the hoses that comes with this unit (rubber-like) and connecting them to the hot-water and the steam-nozzles. I started pumping, and pushed the hotwaterbutton. After 5min of pumping and swearing, the job was done. No my CVA works as a charm again :-)

SOURCE: Water (coffee) does not make it out through the

Propably the vibrating water pump is the problem.
It might be full of scale and it can not create any pressure or it is completetly damage and need to be replaced.
First we sugest to perform a descaling of the machine and try again.
Second you should try to reduce by little the quantity of the grounded coffee used. Aprox you should use 7 to7.5 gr of coffee. If you try to use about 6 to 6.5 and you have the coffee runing out from the machine like in 25 sec you have about 30 cc of water. Then try to clean the group shower which it can be ansrew by one cetrer screw and if you can you can open the machine and remove to clean also the coffee group solenoid valve. Bothe the valve and shower can be full of dry coffee that can blocked the way of water coming to the grounded coffee.
If you manage to clean everything above and the machine work ok so from now on in order to avoid the problem again try to flush water from the group many times without any coffee. With this is like you wash the group shower and valve from any remai coffee.
Good luck

Miele CVA615 won't produce steam or hot water. Machine makes a mechanical noise like it's trying but no water comes out. The expel air indicator was on and this preceded discovery of the issue. Steamer...

Trey -
It sounds as if the water pump has gone bad. If the machine will not put water out of the hot water spout or the steam spout, and there is no water in the base of the machine (leaking from pump) then the pump is not putting out any pressure. The sound you hear is the pump running - but no pressure behind it.

Problem with Miele CVA615 Espresso Machine Water

Frankly, there are things wrong that are beyond your scope, mainly because of the domino effect in small espresso machines no matter who makes them. There are multiple thermostats instead of a pressurestat, and on and on trying to replicate what a commercial machine does. In a machine like yours, the slightest failure of a gasket throws off everything. There is better containment of problems in commercial machines, but that too depends on what fails first.

My advice, if you are a home user, would be to get a manual pump machine , such as a Pavoni, (which I have lost respect for since they employed plastic pistons,) or if for a small cafe or bar, something like a semi-automatic job plumbed through a filter. Either way, in all honesty and that has cost me dearly, I warn you about this coffee business, because it is a science and an art.

It is not easy to make a good cup of coffee or espresso, especially.

Miele CVA610 error reads expel air but when we do as manual suggests (run hot water & milk frother) no water comes out.

- Make sure that the filled water container is in the appliance.

- Turn the program selector to "On" with lighting and place a container under the hot water spout and another

under the steam spout.

- Press the hot water button, turn the steam selector counterclockwise and dispense hot water until it flows in

quiet, continuous streams.

- Press the hot water button again.

Turn the steam selector clockwise to o, to turn off the water.

If this doesn't do it for you, you are doing it wrong!

Clogged Dispensers

Sounds like a burst water line inside, if you made sure there is water available, and you hear it pumping. Either that or a solenoid valve is not activating. Must remove unit and pull the cover to investigate.
