GE Wireless Door Chime 19216/ST-66 (Plug In Type) was working intermittently, now not at all. The transmitter is glued to the outside door frame; do I remove it? On the bottom it has a small rectangular hole w a plastic piece inside; flathead screwdriver fits in it. Does that make it come apart so I don't have to forcibly remove the whole thing?

SOURCE: 2000 Toyota Sienna tailgate door will not open/broken handle

I hope I can help, I had the same problem on my 2001. I called the dealership and they said 375.00 + parts to fix. Being mechanically inclined I decidet to try it myself. Please understand, this is not exact, but is a pretty good guide. To open from the outside, make sure doors are unlocked(mine relocked after a minute or so) place a screwdriver, long and thin, into the slot that the handle passes through the door on the right side. Raise the handle of the driver, and you should be pressing down on a cable that operates the latch. the door should release. If you cant do that, from the inside, remove the two side trim pieces. Then remove the inner door panel, One screw under plastic cap on handle, one under cap on strap... and pop off all plastic buttons(hidden) between the door and cover, a 1" putty knife will work for this. You will see the cable that used to connect to the handle. Remove the cable by pulling it through the slot(apparent when you get to it) and now remove the two screws that hold the handle on. Also, you have to remove a screw from the passengers side of the cover plate over the handle. the plate will slide(not sure which way now), and it will come off. replace the handle and etc..... inreverse.. Took me 25 minutes, start to finish. Further questions, let me know. remember, mine was 2001 Sienna.

SOURCE: 2001 ford escape-passenger door handle

I just ordered the part for the inside of the door from a local ford dealer. It was in Michigan and arrived in three days to Missouri so shipping is fairly fast. The part is around $35.00. The part number is 6L8Z-78223N03-AA. Its the inside door reinforcement bracket and it comes with a new bushing for the actuator rod. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Trying to remove drivers door panel on FX35

I would suspect that is a phillips screw. There may be another one in that area -- maybe not.

Removing this screw should allow yu to remove the door panel.

SOURCE: Type of Screwdriver to remove front door panel 04 grand prix

should just be a philips screw
You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Carlon plug-in Wireless Chime I have a Carlon wireless Chime with transmitter from Thomas & Betts model 3301T and wall receiver RC3130R. It works inside the house and inside the front door , but not...

What happens if you go to the side of the house right by a window (non-metallic screen, or at an unscreened part of the window)? If it works through the window, you probably have steel mesh behind the brick that is shielding out the transmitter signal. The steel door frame isn't so great either. However, if you have a non-metallic door, you can put the transmitter on the door itself. It will seem weird to other people, but if it works ...

Doorbell doesn't work

It seems your doorbell transmitter got wet and corroded the contacts.
These push buttons are not sealed at all and thus will let rain, snow etc. eventually corrode the electronics.
Solution: Find a new push button on eBay.

Remote will not work have change battery

You may need to program it. Here is how you do that, if that is not a fix then you may need a new remote.
  1. Remove key from ignition.
  2. Close all doors.
  3. Open driver side door and leave open.
  4. Perform the following steps within 24 seconds.
    a. Insert key in ignition.
    b. Turn key to ON and OFF.
    c. Repeat step b two more times.
    d. Remove key.
    e. Push driver door frame button three times (black rubber button located on driver door frame that tell the vehicle whether or not door is closed.)

5. Buzz sound, chime or doors will lock and unlock should be heard at this point signaling that the vehicle is now in
programming mode. If not, wait 40 seconds and return to step 4.

6. All transmitters need to be programmed at this time, including the old ones. Push any button on the transmitter
two times. A buzz sound, chime or doors locking and unlocking should be heard at this point signaling that the
vehicle has accepted the new transmitter code. If there is only one transmitter, repeat this step two more times
using the only transmitter. If there are two transmitters, repeat this step two more times using the second
transmitter.

7. Push driver door frame button one time. Two buzz sounds, chimes or doors locking and unlocking 2 times should
be heard at this point signaling successful programming.

The doorbell does not work it seems corroded after I opened the back side. After cleaning it still does not work.

Have you replaced the battery in transmitter button? If not, I'd recommend that you do. I suspect that's the problem.

Ok here are the programming instructions for the remote, follow them exactly, no missed steps, if this doesn't correct the issue the remote is defective most likely.

Dings sometimes with out pushing the button ??

I believe there are either dip switches (or old-fashioned "jumpers" in both the button (the 'transmitter') and the dinger (the receiver). See if this is the case, and that the dip switches (or jumpers) are in the same position in both units. Then, simply switch one of the dip switches (or jumpers) to another 'position' in both the button and the dinger. There ya go...
