SOURCE: skytech model no. sky-3001 changed batteries in

You have to get the remote and transceiver to talk to each other. Remove all the batteries and wait a couple of minutes
before replaceing them. Place the transceiver in the REMOTE
position, press and hold down the LEARN button, and then
press the MODE button on the remote control. A change in the
beep tone will be heard and you have MARRIED the two devices. Should solve the problem.

SOURCE: receiver was beeping all the

If you changed the batteries in the receiver (the black box in the fireplace). You should also change the 2-batteries in the hand-held remote. This may sound stupid, but it's not ... be sure all the batteries in the receiver (black box) are all facing the proper direction. Believe me, it's easy to get one turned the wrong direction. Also, make sure that the slide switch is in fact in the remote position. It can be finicky at times. Also, check to make sure that the two wires are still connected firmly at the gas fireplace Control Valve and in the receiver.

  • Now, if all of that doesn't solve your problem, the receiver may have lost it's code..
When matching security codes, be sure slide button on the receiver is in the REMOTE position; the code will NOT "LEARN" if the slide switch
is in the ON or OFF position. Program the remote receiver to LEARN a new security code by pushing in the LEARN button on the top of the
remote receiver and then pressing the MODE button on the transmitter. A change in the beeping pattern, at the receiver, indicates the
transmitter's code has been programmed into the receiver.

There's a lot to check out and do, but that's how you trouble shoot these remotes.

SOURCE: my Weiser powerbolt lock is beeping-changed batteries-won't stop

Why is my Powerbolt 1000 unit beeping?
To determine why your lock is beeping abnormally, please follow these steps:

  1. Take out batteries and unplug powerstrip.
  2. Let it sit for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in and wait another minute.
  3. If it does not beep, the keypad needs to be replaced (17733-1).
  4. If the unit continues to beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced (A17734-3,3 Powerboard 1470 brass finish; A17734-3,26D Powerboard 1470 satin chrome finish; A17734-3,5 Powerboard 1470 antique brass finish).

Gas ventless fireplace remote will not work have inserted new batteries in both fireplace and remote but fireplace not recognizing remote

Every time the batteries are changed in the receiver and transmitter the transmitter has to be "re-learned" to the receiver. To do this locate the "learn" button which will look like a tiny hole so you have to stick the end of a pin or a pen in the hole to press the button. Hold the button down until it beeps at you 5 times and release. press the button again and release and then press Any button on the transmitter.
Once the receiver is set into its "learn" function it does not matter what button is pressed on the transmitter because the next signal the receiver picks up will be the frequency it is attached-to.
In order to change the transmitter simply hold the learn button down until it beeps 5 times again which tells us it has wiped out its memory. Then press, release and press the transmitter.

Ambient remote control 5884 won't turn fireplace on and off

  • Make sure your valve is in the "on" position and not "pilot".
  • Install fresh batteries in both remote and receiver (remotes are finicky about good batteries.
  • Ensure the switch on your receiver is in the "remote" position.
  • Follow manual to re-sync handheld to receiver if necessary.
  • A burner not lighting could also be the fault of the appliance (bad thermopile). Check this too, and replace if needed.
  • Replace remote if necessary: Universal Fireplace Remotes

I have a 5301. Connected last year, worked fine. Installed new batteries, connects and beeps, but fireplace won't light. All controls are in correct position.

I know it seems obvious, but sometimes over the summer people shut off their pilot light, and when relighting forget to move the pilot knob back to the "on" position after the pilot is going - check this first.
Next, you can slide the switch on the Skytech 5301 receiver from "remote" to "on" and verify that it lights the burner. If it does, you may need to re-sync the remote to the receiver. If it does not, check to make sure your wires are nice and tight on the TH & TP/TH connections of the valve.
If you are still having trouble, Skytech has a toll-free hotline for tech support on the 5301. It is: 1-888-672-8929 8am-5pm EST.

How do I sinc my fireplace remote ecs1001-a two button to fireplace

Each transmitter uses a unique security code. It will be necessary to press the LEARN button on the receiver to accept the transmitter security code upon initial use, if batteries are replaced, or if a replacement transmitter is purchased from your dealer or the
factory. In order for the receiver to accept the transmitter security code, be sure the slide button on the receiver is in the REMOTE
position; the receiver will not LEARN if the slide switch is in the ON or OFF position. The LEARN button in located on the front face
of the receiver; inside the small hole labeled LEARN. Using a small screwdriver or end of a paperclip gently press and release
the black LEARN button inside the hole. When you release the LEARN button the receiver will emit an audible "beep". After the
receiver emits the beep press ANY transmitter button and release. The receiver will emit several beeps indicating that the transmitter's code has been accepted into the receiver.
