This is not a quick fix. Check fluid levels as the switching is hydraulic. You may need to consult a transmission expert if the synchro is failing.
The machine's Power-shuttle gearbox features four fully synchronized gears and electro-hydraulic switching between forward and reverse. For better balance, the transmission is mounted directly to the engine.
Hi Don does the bike jump forward as of the clutch wasn't working? If so the clutch is stuck. To fix put thd bike in high gear and hold in the clutch push the bike back and forward with the help of a friend until it frees up. If this is not the problem check the side stand switch it might be faulty. If you have a doubt about the switch join the two wires together temporary to test. Regards Jim...
The starter clutch needs to be replaced. An alternator sgop will usually rebuild these for 1/2 of a new one.
.A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. Good Luck.
Sounds like a bent shift fork. While accelerating you can feel the power cutting in and out quickly. The problem will get worse if you keep pushing 2nd gear till it slips. You can learn where (at what RPM) it wants to jump out and start shifting before it jumps out. The long term fix is opening the transmission and fixing the bent shift fork.
The cluthc discs were stuck together, this is a common problem with wet multi disc setups. You have gotten it broken loose now the best thing for it is to take it on the road and ride it. Just working the clutch will smooth any bits of stuck clutch material off the discs. Get out and ride to fix it, kind of like getting a perscription for ice cream!
sound like the shift fork, or fwd gear is damaged in the lower unit.....special tools are required for this repair .....if you got them cool, if not seek a shop for further assistance.......hope this helped...GL
