Could actually be the paper your using. make sure your using at the very least multipurpose paper or laser paper. check to make sure your settings for paper is also set to regular paper and not cardstock or special paper or anything else
The most common cause of paper jams in this model is worm pickup roller and separation pad in the paper tray. When these get worn down they can not grab the paper to feed it into the printer so the printer thinks there is a jam. If you keep getting the jam error but no paper jam can be found and the printer is not pulling paper in then you need to replace the roller and pad. These parts are user replaceable and come in a kit with instructions. You can get the roller maintenance kit here:

If it jams in the back it could be your fusser unit or your feed assembly or feed rollers. The least expensive is cleaning your feed rollers.
