They walkbelt is most likely worn out causing too much friction overheating the motor.
SOURCE: Treadmill (Vision Fitness T8500) turns on, motor doesn't run...
open motor shroud and inspect all connection on the motor control board see if all LED 's are lit except that light up when incline motor is moving up or down. then check the two connector coming from the drive motor to the board sometime over time the two connector will have a cold soldier I would move them to see any excessive movements of the pins then hit start and see if there is any belt movement. Last but not least unplug unit and check the motor brushes if they are less than 3/8 in in length replace them. Call them @ 1-800-335-4348 they under their parent corp. Johnson fitness.

Check the treadmill "continuity" , the treadmill connections correctly grounded. If that is checked ok then either the outlet itself is bad .Try plugging the treadmill on another stronger outlet, such as a kitchen outlet..But if its still shorting out and blowing the fuse then its internal motor problem. The motor or its wiring is got weak,so when you press the start button the motor starts and treadmill turns off and blow fuse.--------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Typically an E6 error message indicates that the machine needs to be recalibrated because the elevation motor is out of range or that you have a loose cable connection. Below are the auto calibration instructions. Please make sure that no one is on the machine because it will speed up quickly. STEP 1 ENTER ENGINEERING MODE With the safety key in place, hold "ELEVATION UP" and "SPEED DOWN" buttons for 5 seconds. Software version will appear in display window for a few seconds before model displays. Press "STOP" , "ENG1" will appear in display window. STEP 2 AUTO-CALIBRATE Press "ELEVATION UP" until "ENG4" is displayed. Press "SELECT" , display will read "AUTO". Press "START". Unit will calibrate, when finished "END" appears in display window, then "ENG1". STEP 3 EXIT ENGINEERING I would also suggest that, with the power to the machine off, you check all of the wire connections underneath the motor cover, the assembly connection that sits where the mast meets the console and underneath the faceplate. Check to be sure that all of the connections are secure and that the pins within the cables are seated properly. If you are still having any problems you can reach a knowledgeable Vision Fitness Representative toll free at 800-335-4348.
Press and hold "STOP" to exit engineering mode
