Millie CVA 4070 old grinder stopped working - new grinder also does NOT grind. No voltage at grinder motor terminals. Relay is clicking on and off but not pow is getting to grinder motor.

Meile cva 4070. grinder does not turn on. miele just sent new grinder unit and I just installed it with no problems following directions found on page 56-60 of tech pdf. so the new grinder also does not work. I put a volt meter to the wire on the grinder and clicked espresso on the front panel. and it went through a complete cycle MINUS the grinder so only hot water filled the cup. The voltage on the grinder wires remained at zero 0.0 the entire time. I am NOT getting power to the new grinder. I checked the wire plug #12 wires 10/11 on the door and no power there either. I do hear a relay clicking on once off once during the grinding time slot but cannot find the relay.

There is a fuse connected to the grinder via the wire harness - it is a small rectangle fuse that is usually white in color and hard plastic materials - this usually mounts to the grinder and plugs into the terminal block - also could be the Power electronics - but check the fuse first

Miele CVA 4085, the grinder is not grinding the beans. It makes the noise but basically water just comes out with very little coffee.

Here are some specific steps you can take to try to repair the grinder issue with your Miele CVA 4085 coffee machine:
  1. Clean the grinder: Remove any coffee grounds that may have accumulated in the grinder mechanism, and clean it thoroughly with a brush or cloth.
  2. Check the grind burrs: Inspect the grind burrs for any signs of wear or damage, such as chips or cracks. If they are worn, they may need to be replaced.
  3. Adjust the grind setting: Make sure that the grind setting is adjusted correctly for your type of coffee beans. If it is set too fine, the grinder may struggle to process the beans.
  4. Check the grinder motor: Make sure that the grinder motor is functioning properly and that it is not overheating. If it is making a strange noise or if it seems to be struggling to turn, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
  5. Reassemble the grinder: Make sure that the grinder mechanism is properly assembled and that all components are securely fastened.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to have a professional service the machine.

Miele coffee machine CVA4080 coffee grinder works but not well... coffee is coming out the waste in chunks not a fine powder.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to Miele.

This particular machine ends up on Fixya a couple of times every week!

Some Miele machines have a lever to adjust the grind coarseness. Page 27 of the manual below. I would also give it a good clean beforehand to check there is nothing in there that shouldn't be.

I have a Miele CVA 4070 that stopped grinding beans.

I have had this happen with Franke commercial grind and brew makers. The way to fix it is to push the handle of a wooden spoon down into the bottom of the hopper when it starts to grind. We had a batch of coffee beans that were prone to sticking across the bottom of the hopper. I figured it was something to do with the bean, the roast and the oil.

I have Miele coffee system CVA 4062 the grinder is not working properly? I have cleaned everything, Descaled all that good stuff.

Its likely to be the brushes in the Grinder motor. These are replaceable but Miele does not sell them as a spare part. You may be able top fabricate your own if your technically minded and experienced and can disassemble the machine. Otherwise grinder needs to be replaced. Regards

Grinder a year old and stopped working after grinding about 3-5 pounds of coffee. is motor burnt? the grinding wheel still turns freely. is there a reset in the pc16?

It has an 18 month warranty and I suggest you RUN to the retailer and get your money back.... Don't buy another one because they are junk.

Grinder is not grinding. no error message or similar. goes though the whole process there is just not the noise of the grind and it pumps out hot water rather than coffee at the ned. Thanks

SOunds like either the grinder is totally jamed with a small stone ( sometimes found in coffee beans) or the motor has died or the logic control of the motor operation has failed.
If mechanically minded, REMOVE POWER CORD, take all beans out of machine hopper - plug back in and see if you can detect any grinder movement. If not, UNPLUG again and see if you can see anything jammed in between the gringing discs. If so try and remove it even loosen up the amount of the grind as that may free up the jam.

Still no go, then you could test the motor but unless you are ELECTRICALLY competent DON"T ATTEMPT as it may be either a AC or DC motor and it could be running at low or DANGEROUS voltages.

Best to have it serviced if after checking for a jam it still is no go. Better to lose a few dollars than a life by attempting electrical repairs.
