you more than likely have a bad box from cable company easiest fix is to unplug then plug back in. The technicality is that your box is loosing data packets due to noise(electrical interference) which can originate in your home or possible someone in your nieghborhood

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

Just had the same problem with a Panasonic digibox whilst trying to fix a customers tv. The only way I can see to unmix them is to use Profile menu to create a new Profile and manually add the channels one-by-one to the new profile, or replace the digibox. I suggested to the customer best solution - replace digibox as they are cheap enough now.
