If you mean the Singer Featherweight 221 cat #3-120, the Singer website (http://www.singerco.com) has the manual on their support site. The direct link is http://www.singerco.com/uploads/download/646_221.pdf . The 3-120 indicates the motor for the sewing machine; there was a period when Singer made the unit with what they called the 3-110 motor.
The user's manual for the Singer Athena 2000 is a free download from the Singer Sewing Machine site. It will show you how to thread your machine properly. A heads-up, though--the presser foot MUST be UP when you thread ANY machine from ANY manufacturer, going back at least a century!
