SOURCE: Three day old Indesit washing machine

Is it a maytag? My maytag front load washing machine had 2 long bolts with plastic braces on them, to keep the drum still during shipping. Mine would bang and shake all over. I got the book out before I finally figured it out. I had to take the back cover off and remove the bolts and plastic braces over them. They look like they' 8 inches long or so. It works great now.

SOURCE: KENMORE ELITE SMART WASH QUIET PAK 4 FRONT LOADER,

Now this is a drain issue from the pump, clean out or check drain hose position to make sure hose isnt in water. Front loader right? kick panel under door has two screws, 1/4 or Torx T20 will remove them. You will see a clean out screw handle that holds junk. Use a trash bag wrapped around the clean out to catch water and debris..

My washing machine tub seems real loose. It starts banging on the sides when starting to spin. What causes that?

Hi Steve, This is usually caused by an uneven load. For instance, If you have a bath towel in with some shirts or tea towels, the bath towel absorbes more water than the tea towels, thus making an uneven load.
My wife tends to wash slippers in a pillow case with nothing else in the washer, and the drum will bang against the side.
Hope this helps

Kind regards
David

Kenmore washer mold smell issue

front loader of top loader? For front loaders you need to dry around the front gasket and leave the door open 24 hours after each wash.

Put a couple of towels in the machine and add a full box of Arm and Hammer Baking Soda and do a 90' boil wash. Clean towels and the smell gone.

Loud banging on spin cycle frigidare washing machine model no. fws235rft2

If this is a front loader this is a common problem. Unfortunately, it is also a very extensive project (about 8 hours). The tripod supports that attache the drum to the center spindle commonly break. The remedy is to replace both the front and rear tub, and the basket as well. It is also recommended that you replace the drain pump as well. Generally, they will cover the parts (not including the drain pump) under warranty but the labor will be a customer pay.
