Hello -

Apparently, the Diplomat brand of ovens ended production in 2008.

Prior to the end of production, Diplomat was part of the MFI company, with the company's Hygena brand name combined with Diplomat.

I have not yet found a user manual for Diplomat Elite Double oven online.

However, I have found a Hygena Diplomat manual online (free) and the manual has instructions for the clock. The instructions MAY be the same for your oven (I hope.)

See:
https://productmanuals.inbro.net/seeinsidebrochure/Product-Manuals_Hygena-Diplomat-Select-Ovens/Hygena-Diplomat-Select-Ovens/page_1

The clock instructions are on Page 10: Using Your Electronic Minute Minder.

Best wishes.

SOURCE: KitchenAid Superba double oven: can't set clock.

If you turn the center knob (marked 'time') to the right, it sets the timer; but if you turn it sufficiently far to the left, it goes into clock set mode. When you get to the correct time, press start.

SOURCE: set clock on an old thermador double convection oven

Turn the main knob counter clock wise until the display reads "clock", then turn the same knob clockwise to set the time. When done, push the select button.

How do you reset the clock on a Diplomat HJA 3300 oven? Would you by any chance have a pdf of the manual?

Press and hold the timer and casserole symbol buttons at the same time then press or - to set the time. If "auto" flashes you will have to cancel that programme.

We just purchased a Kenmore Elite double oven (model # C970-600131); we don't like the intensity of the neon clock light; too bright to read the time from the next room; is it possible to turn this...

no it is pre-set and not adjustable.

perhaps some auto-tint over the display will help.

The oven turns off after 30 mins

Is the clock re-setting and flashing? Either the fan is failing and the oven is overheating, or the thermostat is faulty and the oven THINKS it is overheating. It is a fail-safe kicking in, momentarily cutting power to the oven to avoid lasting damage.
Set the time on the clock and the oven should be okay to go again, but if problem repeats, replace the fan and/or the thermostat - it is difficult even for an engineer with all his equipment to diagnose which of the two is at fault, but its about all there is to go wrong on a gas oven.
Apparently!

Diplomat Oven ADP3650 Instructions

User manuals are hard to find.
The problem I had was setting the clock on a single Diplomat oven, with no clock button. Here's my solution :

DIPLOMAT OVEN OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The Diplomat single oven is controlled by two knobs and a set of buttons along the middle of the control panel.
The left knob sets the temperature of the oven, while the right knob selects the function to be performed, e.g. fan oven, grill, etc.
The buttons along the middle set the cooker clock, the start and end times of cooking, and the “+” and “-“ buttons will increase or decrease the time shown on the cooker’s clock.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OVEN WILL NOT OPERATE UNTIL THE CLOCK IS SET.
If there is any interruption to the power supply (including manually switching off at the main switch) the oven will not operate until the clock is reset.
Here’s how to set the clock:
First press simultaneously the first two buttons to the left of the control panel. They are marked as a Bell symbol (Alarm) , and a steaming Cooking Pot (Start of Cooking Time). Then immediately press the plus “+” or minus “-“ buttons to increase or decrease the time displayed. When the desired time has been reached, leave it for a few seconds, and it will remain set at this time. Any further changes to the displayed time will require this procedure to be repeated.
Hope this helps!
