To play a game on PC, you need to pass few bunch marks.
The Game should be Properly installed and registered. If the Game is not installed into Computer yet, Please insert the Game Disc. There will a setup file (Installer) to install the game. Many commercial games requires registration before we could play the game.
Your PC must meet the hardware resource requirements for the Game. Many Games are Resource intensive. Many need extra hardware resources like a Good Graphics card, Physical Memory (RAM) etc. Many games will specify their minimum hardware configuration required to play the game smoothly, on their Disc Packs.
Your Game and Operating System should be Authentic If your game disc is not authentic or legal, Operating System will prevent the game from running. The same will do for the Operating Systems also. So if you got the Disc illegally, you may need to crack or patch it run.
Auto running Feature should be turned on. Many Operating Systems features Auto Running the Disc. That is, if you put the disc on computer, it will run automatically without any user interactions. If your Current Operating System does not have Auto Running Feature (Many new Operating Systems have this feature and its set to On by default) or its set to disabled mode, you can browse the disc and run it manually. You can find the executables in the Disc to run the game. Usual Autorun executables have name one of Installer, Autorun, setup.
Your Anti-virus may interrupt the game. If you have an anti-virus software, then it may interact with the game's normal play and stop it from playing. This is due to the fact that, many Anti-virus Software mistakenly think the game as a virus and stop it from running. So if you have an anti-virus software, please set it to Game Mode or Disabled Mode
