I bought an lg sunset phone it was working fine then it just stop making sounds no sound with in or out going calls no speaker have checked all the setting and even did a factory reset and nothing

I would definitely bring it back to where you got it from, check forums, switch the silent button a few times and also try putting in headphones in the headphone port because my sisters iPhone did the exact same thing and it was some how stuck on headphone mode so no sounds when a text would come thru!!

No sound from the rear jack from my LG e2350. I am using the vga connection as my computer is old.

Plug your headphones into the computer audio out jack (green for speakers on the back or a front port labelled headphones). The VGA cable doesn't carry audio and you do not have an audio in port for bringing that signal to the monitor.

The headphone jack is useful if you are using a video source like a Blu-ray player with an HDMI cable. Then you can listen to the audio.

I wish that I better news for you. The manual for the LG E2350 is available from LG: http://www.lg.com/us/computer-products/monitors/LG-led-monitor-E2350V-SN.jsp . Click on the Support tab and look on the right side of the page.

Omjust bought a LG Flatron W2242P. got no sound, was there a cable or some other piece that was supposed to be in the box that I didn't get? If no then can you tell me what I have to buy to get sound...

Hello,
you need a cable with a headphone jack connector on both ends, one connects to the back of your computer, one to the back of the monitor.

Look for it as an AUX CABLE, 3.5mm headphone jack connectors
hope this helps. :)

When we plug in hubby's remote headphones (he has a hearing impediment), it cuts off the sound and I can't hear it.

That is normal operating mode when using the headphone jack. The only way for you to do this without cutting the sound from the speaker so you can hear the sound (if your remote headphone has the Line level input), is to use the audio line out (WHITE and RED RCA jacks) to feed the remote headphone unit.
What the make and model of the remote Headphone system that you have?

I dont have a hdmi connection to my lg e2350vr flatron monitor and there is no sound is it because i dont have the hdmi lead

the dvi (or vga) connection from a graphics card to the monitor does not carry audio.

in this case, the cable doesn't matter because your monitor doesn't have speakers. it does have an 3.5mm headphone jack, but that is only to transfer sound if it had come in with hdmi cables.

if you want sound, you will need external speakers

I just purchased an LG W2253V monitor, have it hooked up and working just fine but I am not getting any sound. What might be my problem and how might I test this sound?

dbeffort, Try to prove that you have audio (stereo) signal coming out the "lite-green" audio output jack on the pc!!! Use a set of stereo headphones or "ear-buds" to prove audio is present. Let me know results of test. 12fixlouie

Hi, If I remember from my LG Plasma, I had to go into the settings and enable the headphone, but make sure you are not wearing them first, just incase the sound is very loud.

Please let me know if this has helped.

No Real Time Sound from USB Port in Headphones

The problem is due to the design of the DELL Laptop itself. It is not dsigned to monitor the incoming signal. I bought a cheap Behringer UCA202 USB-Audio Interface. It provides for real time monitoring the incoming sound. I can also hear the accompanying music while I play along with pre-existing tracks. It's not the highest quality but it was only 25$ so well worth the price.
