Here is a link that should help you. http://www.laskoproducts.com/instruction...
Find your model, download the instruction sheet for cleaning and go from there. If it's not available go to the "contact us" link and request the info. Although depending on what part you are trying to clean and how dirty it is, you can try using a can of air. It is used for cleaning computers and such. You can find it at Best Buy and other computer stores.

The fan is plugged into the electrical outlet but it won't come on.

Please check your power cable for loose connection. Check also the fuse on your fan if so equipped.

How do I fix my fan from shaking so badly?

Did you just clean the fan? If while cleaning, you bent a fan blade, even a hair it will shake. Blades are perfectly balanced. Moving one just a hair, will cause the fan to shake. Trying to re=balance the blade(s) is futile, you can get it close, but it will take somr patience. If the fan has built up dust on the blade(s) will begin to shake if some blew off unevenly

Lasko 4920 won't oscillate...

Buy a new fan or do without the oscillation untIl it breaks worse, thenndiscard or pay a lot to have a new part made. Lasko will nOt and doesn't stock the replacement Teflon partial gear that wears out. Planned obsolescence!!! Buy a Honeywell or more reputable fan with a better warranty Hint: they don't exist anymore!! Caveat Emptor!!!!! THERE ARE NO MORE BUSINESS ETHICS IN AMERICA!!!!!!
