If you are still unable to clear the error, you may need to take the machine for service.

SOURCE: Error message on Brother SE-270D sewing machine

The safety device will activate if the machine has a bind or is unable to run at correct speed. If you turn the handwheel is it tight/hard to turn? if it is than thats it. Now what is binding the machine has to be diagnosed.

SOURCE: I have a brother ce4000. I am getting an e1

Page 62 of the manual does not have any reference to E1 requiring a re-set.

E5 does state to unplug the foot control and use the start-stop button. This might work as a re-set.

SOURCE: my bobbin thread is not drawing up on my brother

If the thread is being trapped in the bobbin area, yes, it could be the bobbin case. If the thread goes around the bobbin case and come back up then it is probably out of time and needs to be sent to a repair shop.

SOURCE: what does error E1 mean on a brother CS6000i

hello, the E1 code simply means the machine is working so hard, you can follow the information below to help you fix the problem,

The instructions for bobbin winding tell you to click the start button for the bobbin to wind. When you do that you get that E1 with a beeping. What they don't explain is that in order to press that "UP" arrow button to get the bobbin to wind..........you need to UNPLUG the foot control. So, in other words it to be used for sewing w/o a foot pedal. Now instead of doing as per instructions, assuming you've plugged everything in (foot pedal), after winding is finished just press the foot pedal and your off and running or sewing as the case may be. BTW, look it up in the TROUBLESHOOTING SECTION OF YOUR MANUAL.
please kindly rate the solution if it;s helpful,

take care.

SOURCE: Hi i keep getting the

E1 means that your machine thinks the thread has broken.

There's nothing you can do to fix this: it has to go to an authorised Singer Service Centre for diagnosis and repair. Usually it's a faulty thread sensor.

I keep getting the E6 (tangled thread) message on my Brother CS600 when I try to sew. I have check for tangled thread and cannot find any. Could it be that the bobbin case needs to be replaced? It seems...

is the bobbin case damaged in any way?
try turning off the machine & unplugging it & then replug it back up & turn it on & see if that clears the computer parts of the machine
if it still shows a E6, then you can replace the bobbin case or you might even consider having it serviced

When I push the pressor foot down my machine flashes E1

Is the presser foot lever up or down? It should be down before you step on the foot controller or use the start/stop button.

Persistent E1 message

some machines have a presser foot sensor or switch which prevents the machine sewing if the foot is not down.

if your presser foot is down and you still cannot sew the switch or switch actuator is most likely damaged. you will require a tech to repair this.
