Milwaukee 1/2 magnum hole shooter

How many different armatures would fit this model 0234-1 ser. 532c There are quite a few of model 0234-1 but with different revisions. The drill seems to have not changed. Any one know if older revision drill would cross over to newer drills within the same model?

they make a service fixture for that BUT if you can find a thin wall open end wrench that will fit behind the chuck on the hex of the spindle you can still do it. What you will need to do is remove the left hand chuck retaining screw, put the wrench or similar item over the hex and then put the chuck key in a hole that is about a 30 degree so that you can strike it counter clockwise to remove. That chuck is on tight and there no easy way to remove it like you can do on cordless items.

Lost of power

Pull the brushes out - remove 3 screws holding gearcase to handle & remove gearcase with armature from handle.
More than likely you will find the field inside the handle is melted down & binding the armature up. Depending on how long it ran smoking you may have cooked the armature as well.

Chuck is very hard to adjust

Try lubrication, and check that the retaining screw, down inside, has not come loose. failing all of that, replace the chuck.
