If that's an electric dryer that runs on 240 volt and that's why that cord is on it you can't just remove it and put a 120 volt cord on it,you need an electrician to run a 240 volt plug in your laundry room to run the dryer.

SOURCE: wii 110 voltage plugged into a 220 socket

Well your warranty won't cover it thats for sure. So with that bit of knowledge, locate your nearest console/modchip shop. They also do console repairs etc and should be able to repair or replace the power supply as long as the internals are ok apart from that.

SOURCE: transformer 110-220

Less expensive to replace the heating element. But if you already have a 1000 watt transformer then just go that route

SOURCE: 10,000 watt generator 220 plug doesn't work

Most generators have several circuits incorporated within the windings. There are usually two 115v windings, one or two windings that produce power and sensing voltage for the regulator that supplies power to the armature (produces magnetic force) and sometimes a 12v winding to supply power to charge the battery. The two 115v windings power one 115v plug each and together power the 220v plug. Each outlet has a breaker and or ground fault. Since the 115v plugs are working indicates that the 220v plug must have an open/broken wire or faulty breaker. Easy to check, however you must open cover to wiring compartment and trace wires. Should be easy fix. You do not have to start engine to find broken wire. Use ohm meter instead. With engine off, Insert probes into 115v plug and obtain ohm reading. Then insert probes into second 115v plug and obtain similar reading. Look for same reading at the 220v plug (remember 2 circuits of 115v, ground and neutral). Good luck with your repair and email if you have other question.

SOURCE: I Accisentally plugged My 110 Volt xbox 360 into a 220 volt outle

The reason for this is the power overwhelmed the circuit boards and burnt them out you may need to talk to someone up the Game shops or go to support.microsoft.com and see what other people think. even if microsoft tell you to DONT send it in for repair as it gets rattled in the post and rattling the console causes the Open Tray Error an extremley annoying error. hope this helps

SOURCE: Conversion from 110 volts to 220 volts

Inside the machine you have the vibrating water pump, the two heating emelents the grinder motor and group motor that are all are working with the 110. The cost of the above parts only will cost more than the price of new machine in any voltage. Moreover just consider the cost of labour for someone to make the modicifcations.
So as you may understant the only way to work your machine is to use a trasformer from 110 to 220 volts but again for a power of 1400 Watts this also a costly thing however you can try to find one but I believe it will worth it only if it is less than 100 Euro which I am no so sure if their in such a price. The only chance is if you can find a used one maybe from ebay or something which will do the same jop but very dificult to find one but worth it to try.
Hope that help you, Good luck

I can't find an electrical outlet that the plug will fit into

Probably because it requires a different electrical current. Is your machine made to run on 220 volts? If so, it will not work on regular 110 volts (standard household current). You'll need to have a special line and outlet to power 220. The outlets are different because you really don't want to be plugging a 110v appliance into a 220v outlet, or vice versa.

CAN a 4 prong plug be change to fit a 3 prong so it will fit my 3 prong receptical

Hi Anthony:
A 4 prong plug is intended to handle 220/240 volt and also 110.
It has:
- Red and Black - 110 each 220 total
- White (neutral)
- Green (ground)
You will need to shut off the circuit breaker for your receptacly and then determine what power supply you have available.
You MAY be able to change your receptacle to handle your appliance.
I would NOT change the plug on your appliance as it needs both the 110 and 220 functions.
If you are not ABSOLUTELY SURE what you are doing, get an electrician. Not doing it right could start a fire or present the danger of electrical shock. WHICH HAS THE POTENTIAL OF KILLING SOMEONE.
Cheers.

Bought a singer from the state but cannot be used in australia what should i do?

If it is an electronic or computerized machine, you are out of luck. USA has 110 volt 60Hz current, Australia has 220 volt 50Hz. A transformer can change 220 to 110 volts, but it cannot change 60Hz to 50Hz.

I have a whirlpool dry mod#5636 in my home I have 110 the cord on the dryer is for 220 can I change it to 110 and will it work right..

No it will not, dryers with 110 volt plugs heat on gas,220 dryers heat with electric, putting a 110 vac plug on dryer for 220vac,the motor will run but it will not heat
your 2 options are

1) have a electrician come and run 220 vac circuit

2) purchase a gas dryer

Washing machine w/ 110v plug in to 220v

DON'T!

Never plug a 110 volt anything into a 220 volt supply and never plug a 220 volt anything into a 110 volt supply. They are just not designed to do so. Their electronic's power supply and their motors are specifically for the specific voltages. Changing the plug at the end does absolutely nothing.
I just hope I have got to you in time!!!

Need wiring diagram for 1081 motor,1.5hp.I want to change from 220 to 110.

What is the reason you want to change? 220 is not only stronger ... it is cheaper to run. If wiring is a problem, (this pump should be on its own circuit) simply replace the single pole breaker with a double pole and take the existing white wire and turn it into a "red" wire for your 220, (put the white (red) wire on the second pole of the new breaker.)

If you will remove the cover on the back of the motor, you will probably find a plug that you move from the 220 position to the 110 position. Change the plug from 220 / 20 amp to 110 / 20 (or what ever the motor will require) Normally, when you change the voltage in this direction (down) you send the amps up by 2 times. What I mean is if the motor uses 7.5 amps at 220, you will be using 15 amps at 110. Make sure you have at least #12 wire for a little extra safety.

To convert Nespresso C100 coffee machine 110 valt device to 220 valt-

use a travel converter plug
one that converts the voltage, not just an adaptor

have you looked at the label and specifications on the coffee machine?
many things are designed to run on both 110 and 220
if so you could just change the plug or use a $1 adaptor

HP laptops power supply

Well, as a rule for electronics:
The United States and Canada use 110-volt electricity.
Most countries outside North America use 220-volt electricity.
Unless your appliance is dual voltage, you need to use a "converter" or a "transformer" to change the 220-volt electricity into 110-volt electricity in order to use a 110-volt appliance.
If your appliance is dual voltage, you can switch it to work on 220-volts, without a transformer or converter.

HOWEVER

Desktop units have a selector switch for 110 / 220 volts., which is done away with in the case of laptop one's which sense the input voltage and regulate accordingly.

I think your main concern is just that you have an adapter for the plug to go into the wall outlet.

Hope that helps :)
