HI. I had the same problem with mine. It would flash the screen on for a split second and then turn black, the whole time the power light remained green. Upon opening up the case, I pulled the combo power supply board/inverter board out for inspection. I noticed one of the capacitors had a bulge on top indicating it was bad. It was the the 680uf 25v capacitor. I desoldered it, and soldered in the new one. After hooking everything back up, bingo!! Monitor now works perfectly. I couldn't find an exact match to the capacitance locally, but I had a 1000uf 35v cap in my utility box. It worked fine as a replacement. You can usually go within 30 percent of tolerance and be alright. Just don't go under on capacitance or voltage. I hope this helps.

Backlight is bad and needs replacing! When the screen is black with no image. Most of the time it is the inverter, when the screen shows an image it is the backlight, if power light flickers it could be a combination inverter board and backlight!

Connect AC power.
Screen should power on Gray to White. Ble light comes on Blue.Flickers then changes to Amber.

Screen goes black, but power light is on (not blinking)

The problem is not with your screen. Its the problem of Video Card of your system which is unable to send Video Signals to the Screen.

My Acer LCD AL1711 went off after seconds of turning on.

This monitor has "back lights" that are essentially like flourescent lights. These are high voltage lights and can easily fail. since you are getting some light initially, I would suspect a defective part that heats up a bit right away and then fails. I would try to replace the entire backlight board. This is the small board on the side (usually).

Monitor wont turn on, green power light on

Hi you can inspect that what's wrong with your monitors. After you turned it on and the screen went black, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! If anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you,

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

I start my computer and turn it on, and everything looks fine for about 1/4 of a second and then it goes black while leaving the power light green. I can only see the screen again after turning it off and on, but that's only for another 1/4 second. What's up?
I got my rosewill flatscreen as a hand me down from my father. I've had it for several years now. Was working fine until a month ago. When I turn the computer on the screen goes black after 1/4 of a saecond. I have to turn it off and on anywhere from 10 to 20 times before it stays on. I have checked all plugs to the computer and outlets. I have absolutely no idea whats causing this.
