Was there a recent Android update that may have affected two different Dragon Touch X10 tablets?? And does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the problem??

I have two Dragon Touch X10 Tablets - "Primary" that is the newest and "Secondary" that 'works' but has a damaged screen. Earlier this week, "Primary" was used so long that the battery completely ran out and it turned off. Now I am unable to turn it back on. I've been searching the internet for solutions. In the meantime, I began using "Secondary", which was working fine. Today, I powered down "Secondary" and now it will also not start back up. Both tablets will show a 'fully charged battery symbol' when plugged in - but neither will turn on. Both happened within a week's timespan. For both, I have tried holding the power button longer, holding power and volume up, power button and volume down, searched for a 'reset button' (as some sites mentioned) around every surface of the units, and on one I ensured the buttons were not blocked. Prior to "Secondary" having the same problem, I had considered getting out the soldering iron and disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery. Now that I have the same problem on a second tablet of the same model, I'm thinking there is a different problem going on. Any suggestions??

The 'fully charged' battery symbol is the one that shows when the unit is already powered down and then plugged in for charging. Battery symbol shows up on a black screen for a second to indicate that unit is indeed charging - then goes back to black.

It's the same problem, two tablets of same model, week timespan that leaves me thinking software update. If so, and if I could find a way to just get it turned on, I could investigate and maybe revert back to prior software - or even do a factory reset.

SOURCE: How can I get my Samsung Galaxy Tablet to turn on. The battery is fully charged.

There is usually a method such as holding the on button for a longer period of time. If it is easy to do the other thing that I've found with all sorts of "smart" devices which turn "not-so-smart" is to remove the battery for a minute or so, then put it back in. Many times the unit will turn on as soon as the battery is reinstalled and work correctly again after that. Last ditch effort, unless someone knows about the Galaxy, is a hard reset, there may be a reset button somewhere on the unit, I don't think the Galaxy has a reset button. If the unit still does not turn on it may need servicing.
1. Try the on button for 15 - 20 seconds if you know it is charged
2. Try charging for an hour or two then the 15-20 second hold on button, #1 above.
3. Removed battery (I'd measure the battery voltage while I have it out) wait ~1 - 2 minutes & reinstall the battery. If it doesn't turn on by itself try #1.
4. Nothing works start a service ticket with Samsung, URL:
http://support-us.samsung.com
You might try searching there as well for an answer to see if there's anything I missed.

SOURCE: Why did my RCA 10 inch tablet power down and now will not turn back on? It does not show any sign of charging - no battery symbol, no lights, nothing.

battery have residual power which last few minutes to allow safely switch off, as you used this power, it shut down. this residual reserve is usually between 3% to 5% of capacity.

and do not fiddle with it till you recharge it, reset will not work while there is no power, any other "trickery" will not work either.

now, plug battery to known good charger and charge it for 24hrs, do not switch it on during that time nor disconnect from the charger.

after this it should be starting and working normally, if it does not - it is still under warranty and you should return it to the place of purchase for repair or replacement, even if you do not have receipt. tablet have it's serial number and can be traced in the store to day, and even hour and minute when it was sold...

hope this short info will help you - do not forget to vote...

Can you change a Dragon Touch X10 screen temperature color from warm to cool?

Yes, it is possible to change the screen temperature color on a Dragon Touch X10 tablet. You can do this by adjusting the color temperature settings in the display settings menu. If your tablet does not have a color temperature setting, you can try downloading a third-party app from the Google Play Store that allows you to adjust the color temperature of your screen.
