Hello Mike,
It means that most likely that your Defrost Heater (DH) is not working and one of the following items could be bad;
Er dH
Sensor did not get over 40 F
Faulty fuse, heater, control board
Controller assembly, defrost heater, relay on control board
Here is the whole list for your refrigerator;
Kenmore Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Error Codes for 795 Models Sears...
Good Luck!

The Er DH error code indicates the temperature sensor on the evaporator coil did not reach 50 degrees within one hour.
This would indicate the control board did put the refrigerator through a defrost cycle.
This problem could be caused by a defective relay on the control board, a defective defrost heater, a broken wire to the heater, or a stopped up drain on the defrost pan causing ice to form on the evaporator coil.
Before replacing the control board, someone should remove the food from the freezer, remove the freezer drawer, and remove the evaporator cover to expose the evaporator coil, heater, and defrost sensor.
The voltage to the defrost heater should be 120 volts ac.
The defrost heater is part of the evaporator coil and is not replaceable as a separate part.
You can test the operation of the defrost system by pressing "Ultra Ice" and "colder freezer temp" for 3 seconds.
The first time you press and hold the buttons the board will test the compressor, fan, and open the damper.
All displays should be on.
The second time you press and hold the buttons the board will test the compressor, fan, and close the damper.
The third time you press and hold the buttons, the board will turn the compressor and fan off and turn the defrost heater on for around 25 minutes. This would let you know if the defrost system is working.

SOURCE: Unable to adjust the temperatures on the control panel
Turns out that unplugging the fridge and then plugging it back in reset the control panel. But, the technician at Sears suggested that we still have someone come out to take a look. Apparently, this is a very common problem with our type of refrigerator, and it's either the freezer fan or the control panel itself that is malfunctioning. He said this will undoubtedly happen again, so as soon as the parts come in, we will be scheduling a service appointment. Thankfully, our fridge is still under warranty.
Thanks for your response, and I hope this is helpful to others experiencing the same problems.
SOURCE: what does ER FF mean on my Kenmore Elite bottom
Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. Error ff is freezer fan fault. This usually happens when
either the rear board has gone bad or the freezer fan itself is bad and needs
to be replaced. To check what is causing the error you can start with checking
the fan which is located behind the back wall inside the freezer. Also check
the rear board as it might not be putting the fridge into defrost long enough
and is causing the ice to build up in the freezer and thus stopping the freezer
fan from turning and so causing ff error. Leave the fridge unplugged for 24hrs
which will melt all the ice then plug it back if still the issue is not
resolved and you hear the fan running then it is the rear board that needs to
be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else
revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
