Circuit board in control box in left side. Two red lites on same. Adjust proximity sensor in or out that's sensing rotating torque coupling drive shaft mates with when product liquid till one lite stays on all the time.
very small blue blue box on circuit board with tiny brass screw that turns to adjust product stiffness. Other lite lites when viscosity achieved.
if torque coupling, proximity sensor or circuit board have issues or brix of product off this won't fix issue.
also torque pin must be place to stop center piece in barrel from rotating to load torque coupling as product thickens

SOURCE: Can someone tell me where

you have to brixe the unit first but need a special tool and you can set the viscosity on the display but you have to have the unit running properly and not use sugar free or diet products

Poor Overrun on Taylor 162-12

You cannot change the overrun on a Taylor 162. Once you've properly primed the machine and installed the feed tubes, the viscosity or how firm the product is.

I do not know of any soft serve machine that will give you an 80% overrun. You can adjust the overrun on a Taylor pressurized machine like the 8756 or the C712, but I believe the limit is somewhere around 40%.

You can email me [email protected] or call 1-800-879-7839 if I can answer anymore questions for you.

Have a Taylor C713 Ice Cream machine. Its a new machine to my store and since it arrived the ice cream has been too soft. What can I do to fix the problem?

You need to adjust the viscosity. On your front display, on the right hand side, there is a large ice cream cone. Press the center of that ice cream cone. It'll ask you to enter a code. Using your up and down arrows, enter the code 5231 pressing the SEL button after each number. After hitting SEL for the last number, it will take you to a menu. Scroll down to Viscosity Settings. Hit SEL and then choose left or right. The top number is the current setting. If your only option is exit then press your up arrow to increase the viscosity by (0.1). Then hit SEL. Same procedure for the other side. If its still too soft, repeat the procedure. If your options are change and exit, you will have to scroll up to change and then hit SEL before you can change the setting.

How to recognize why 339 raylor is not giving good product viscosity

If the machine runs and runs and can't satisfy your viscosity setting there is a refrigeration problem. The longer the machine runs the more the product breaks down, so you're problems get worse as the day goes on. It's not uncommon for these machines to lose refrigerant. I would guess that is the issue here.
You will need a refrigeration repair person to put gauges on the machine.
Here is some information I put together about the logic board adjustments on your machine. I think you might find this helpful.

I have a Taylor 794 soft serve machine. The left side is too soft.

Viscosity adjustments should not have to be made frequently on these machines. If you change products a lot, such as flavors of yogurt, minor adjustments may be required. If your machine uses 3 phase electricity and it machine has been moved or any electrical work performed you may want to check the beater rotation, the beater should rotate clockwise inside the barrel viewing from the front, if you look at the gear box from the back, the pulley should be turning clockwise as well. Otherwise, there is a fine tuning potentiometer on the control, you must remove the front cover to see it. Clockwise is colder/thicker. I recommend small adjustments. It is best to read the amp draw on the motor to see what type of amps it is drawing. If your mix is soft and your motor is drawing 4 amps, you may have another type of problem such as a bad motor. The board and control can also fail giving these problems. There are many things to check in addition to these. Hope this will help you get started.

it is over freezing, you need to have the viscosity adjusted and also make sure you are removing all the water when you are priming unit.

Recently bought a used Taylor Shake/Slush Freezer Model 430 to be used for shakes. It was used for aheks in the past and no problems, however, we put it together and the ice cream is too hard. Even...

The Taylor 430 thermistor model has two adjustments a fine adjustment, which is made by turning the knob, and a coarse adjustment that is made by turning the screw in the center of the knob. I suspect you are trying the fine adjustment, which will change the product + or - 2 degrees F. The coarse adjustment will let you set the product temperature between 10 and 30 degrees F.

As far as the clunking, those machines clunk a little. It would do it more if the product was too hard.

You are correct the machine will leak drops into the drip tray, but if it is more than drops, you want to address it. Should be as simple as a new tune up kit.
