One heavy piece like that will not allow the washer drum to come up to top speed when for its final spin at the end of the cycle.
Next time, instead of endless drying, put it back for a final spin in the washer with a couple of towels so that the water can be extracted properly.

Make sure the door mat is evenly distributed across your tub . Modern washers imply load balancing algorithms that stop spin if the load isnt evenly distributed across since if theres uneven load thare have been cases of irrelegur spin leading to damaged machines as well . So if u cant dry something thats not at all flexible tand cant
be twisted or folded so that the weight is distributed across the tub the washer is actualy preventing a machine damage . Try to put it evenly or better sun dry .

SOURCE: Dark Spots on clothes

There may be some pieces of mat stuck between the inner and outer drums. The quickest way to remove this is to remove the drain hose that leads from the drum to the pump and feel around the bottom of the outer drum and remove any foreign objects that may be stuck in there.

SOURCE: Doesn't spin the clothes dry on the final spin but spins at high revolutions without a load of clothes

I have read that if the pump is not draining the tub completely, there is an interlock that prevents the high speed spin from engagin. I have had debris caught in my pump several times (kids!!) with similar issues. There is a trap on the line leading from the tub to the pump which is "supposed" to capture debris, but it doesn't work all that well. Check your pump.....

SOURCE: LG WM-3677HW dryer cycle does not dry and lasts for 3 minutes

Press "end of cycle". Plug off the wall. Code can be an indication of several issues. The most common cause is over-sudsing in the machine. Overloading the wash with too much laundry may also cause the LE error code. Lastly, a breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause that error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire, see that all wires are tightened..........
And rate me pl ...........if helped.

Will not spin the clothes dry it's seem it is not balanced ?

You may have One wet heavy item (one sweatshirt or one bath towel) that is not evenly dispersed within the wash tub, and this will prevent the machine from reaching and completing the spin cycle.

Spin is not fast enough for bath mat even with other items in washer. How do you activate spin indepedently?

Hello, Welcome to FixYa. I think what you're referring to..."tub mat will not spin fast enough to dry"... is not an intended function of the washer. I don't know if you purchased these machines yourself or have access to the owners manual/operation guide, but if you do you can verify what I'm telling you. Front load washers ( any washers really, but top loads are a little more forgiving ) are not intended to wash bath mat's or any single items. If washing a single item one must either select a "no spin" or add another garmet/item of equal size or mass to balance the weight of the load, otherwise the unit will not spin to it's potential...if at all. This is an exert from the Kenmore/Whirlpool operating manual... 1. To load washer Open the washer door by pulling on the handle. Sort laundry according to color and type of fabric. Place a load of sorted clothes in the washer. Do not overload washer. Overloading can cause poor cleaning. The washer can be fully loaded, but not tightly packed. Washer door should close easily. Mix large and small items. Avoid washing a single item. Load evenly. Wash small items such as infant socks in mesh garment bags. It is recommended that more than one garment bag be used and that each garment bag be filled with equal amounts of material. Hope this info helps clear this up for you. Let me know how that works, but that should fix the problem. Good luck. Thank you for choosing FixYa to day for your inquiry. Regards, Macmarkus :)

When I wash a bath mat the spin cycle never takes most of the water out of the mat so it is heavy with dripping water and difficult to put into the dryer. When I put on only the 'final spin' cyle it...

If your bath mat has a rubber backing, that would prevent the water from being centrifuged out of the mat. Even if you laid the mat in the drum with the wet side outwards, it would still only have a limited effect on removing the water.

Washer won't spin. Washed bath mats (small) and

Read a post from someone else on this - turned out it works fine, just wouldn't work with the small wet load. I added towels to the bath mat load, washed them, it spins fine. Washed clothes & that worked fine too. Yay!! Not broken. Just not found of small loads of bath mats!

The machine stops after the wash cycle and won't finish.

The code is UE

load too small.
• Load is out of balance.
• The washer has an imbalance
detection and correction
system. If individual heavy
articles are loaded (bath
mat, bath robe, etc.) and the
imbalance is too great, the
washer will make several
attempts to restart the spin
cycle. If an imbalance is still
detected, the washer will stop
and the error code will be
displayed.
• Add 1 or 2 similar items to help balance the load.
• Rearrange items to help balance the load.

Calypso washer - LD Code - clothes still wet

harborstuff,
The code on your machine stands for 'Long Drain'. Ld flashes if it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating pressure switch resets. I would bet that the bath mats left a bunch of stuff stuck in the recirculation pump hose, or pump itself, and the water cannot be drained fast enough. Check the intake and exit hoses of the recirc pump. It's easiest to get to the pump through the front panel of the machine(click here). Looks like this: click here. Hope this helps.
(Definitely get under there and check to make sure the pump hoses are not clogged. At $129 it's an expensive fix for a $10 bath mat that clogged up the hose with fuzz. 'know what I'm sayin'' :o) )

-samson39

BTW, I have the maintenance manual & have experience at replacing the recirc. pump, control board, motor board, touchpad, & lid switch so far.
