If the digital display on your washing machine is showing either E30/E31/E40/E41/E42/E43/E44/E45 error code, the most likely cause for this could be a faulty door lock. Luckily, we have looked into the possible causes for the issue to arise and hope to help you restore your appliance to its former glory.

What is code E41 on a Frigidaire Affinity ATF800FS. THE DOOR IS LOCK BUT THE DOOR LOCK INDICATOR WONT LIGHT UP & THE WASHER WONT SPIN

I appreciate your post, Trent!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire washer is displaying an error code of E41 and the door is locked and will not open. An E41 error code means that your main control board thinks the door is open. I would recommend performing a reset on your washer and you can do that by disconnecting power from your washer for at least ten minutes. If that does not help correct your issue it could be a possible problem with your door lock assembly, control panel, or wiring harness. You may need to seek assistance from a professional technician to avoid unnecessary part purchases. I hope this is helpful to you. -Matt

I have an error code E41 on my Frigidaire ATF7000eso front load washer. How do I test to find the bad part

Good Morning friend, that's a great question!

I see that your Frigidaire washer, ATF7000ES0, is displaying an error code of "E41" and you would like assistance in troubleshooting that code. An "E41" typically stands for your main control board thinks the door switch is open. This could be a possible problem with your door switch assembly or main control board. I would recommend performing a reset just in case there is a miscommunication within the board and you can do that by disconnecting power from your washer for roughly ten minutes. If you restore power and continue to see an "E41" I would look over the door switch to make sure it is not damaged. If any electrical components need to be replaced I would suggest having a professional technician out to properly disassemble your washer. This will help you to avoid any future issues. -Matt

I have a Frigidaire front load washer #ATF6000SF1 and need to reset the PAU and E41 error code. I cannot get the unit into diagnostic mode to accomplish this. How can I reset this code?

I appreciate your post, Josh Orenstein!
From my understanding your Frigidaire washer is displaying "PAU" and "E41". "PAU" normally displays when there is an interruption to the cycle and "E41" means the main control board thinks the door switch is open. Either code can display due to a faulty door latch assembly, door strike, or main control board. You can attempt to perform a factory reset by holding down the Start/Pause button and Select button until a signal sounds. Also review the door latch and strike to see if there is any visible damage that could cause a short within the components. If there is no visible damage you may want to consult with a technician for proper diagnosis and repair of your washer. Hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

How do you fix "E41"

Good Morning Vicky, thank you for your post. If you are receiving an error code E41, your loading door may be ajar. Double-check to ensure that it is closed. If it is secure, reset the power to your appliance for about 30 seconds. You can do this by unplugging the unit or flipping your circuit breaker into the off position. If the error persists, it could either be the door switch assembly or your unit's main control board. In that case, a certified technician would generally replace the faulty part after proper diagnosis.

Fridgidaire upright washer E41

Hello Marcee Peterson - Typically error code E41 indicates that washer has detected that the main control board thinks the door switch is open. Try reprogramming the washer by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. If it proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately and properly assist with the repairs.

Frigidaire Affinity washer (LAFW3511KW0) with an E41 error. I have unplugged to reset (no change), checked the stricker (fine), removed outer seal and disconnected and reattached (I also received an E41...

Install the door lock/switch assembly with the door switch harness disconnected but "jumped". Jump a wire between the wire harness terminals and if the error code (E41) stops appearing when the machine is started, the door lock/switch assembly is indeed faulty and needs to be replaced.

jahn27_554.jpg

Check the continuity of the door switch harness connecting the switch and terminal J2 of of the control board if the error code (E41) still appears every time the machine is started after putting a jumper wire between the door switch harness terminals.

jahn27_556.jpg

Make sure the connectors are clean and snugly connected to both. Replace the wire harness if you are skeptical about its condition. Disconnecting the door switch wire harness (J2) from the control board and putting a jumper wire between the leads of terminal J2 on the control board will directly confirm the condition of the wire harness and the board itself. The wire harness is the problem and must be replaced if the error code E41 stops appearing. On the other hand, consider replacing the control board if the error code still flashes even when the leads of terminal J2 on the board is shorted ("jumped").
