My PS3 Beeps 3 times it doesn't matter if it is on or off and it won't stop can you help

SAFE MODE:

1. Place you finger on the on/off sensor leave it their until you console turns off then take you finger off the sensor.

2. Place your finger back on the on/off sensor leave it their until you hear 2 consecutive beeps then take your finger off.

3. Once the safe mode screen comes on select the option PS3 SYSTEM RESTORE.

NOTE: A PS3 system restore will delete all data except the OS. I recommend backing up your console onto a USB flash drive if possible.

Easy to solve, the way to turn off the ps3 is simply hold the power button until you hear one beep, then let go. That way you wont have to go to the menu, and your controller beeps because it is low on battery try using a charger that connects to the ps3

You may have a corrupt system file. With the system off, press and hold the power button on the front of the unit until it beeps three times. Take your finger off the power button and press and hold it again until it beeps two times and then three times in rapid succession. Connect your PS3 controller to the unit via a USB cable and select option two on the menu that will come up.
If this doesn't solve the problem, call Sony at 800-345-SONY for more help and they will walk you through more steps.

If the screen is just black and the PS3 doesn't turn itself off, then it could just be that the video settings don't go out through the correct output. This will reset the video output:

• Hold the power button for 5-10 seconds until you hear two beeps; then let go

This is the yellow light of death i got it some time ago and had to buy a new ps3 there is a way to fix it but i costs more than a new ps3 i had to buy a new one so your screw lol.

turn console onto standby and leave a min
then hold button in till it beeps 3 times and release
then do this again it will beep 3 times last one being double quick beep
a menu should appear
click on the one that says files this will restore your lens reader

its overheated

restart the system...

1.take all discs out
2.turn the system off at the back then on again
it should now just be red
3.hold down the standby button untill it beeps for 4 times then quickly take ure finger off it may have changed channels eg hdmi 1 -2 or av then click option 3 and it will resolve all corruptions.

This problem is due to the mix of registered and unregistered DIMMs. 64Mb and 128 Mb DIMM's are unregistered memory technology 256MB is registered memory technology. A mix of registered and unregistered memory prevents the server from completing startup, and results in an error beep sequence and a blank screen
