Ive seen this problem before on my dads drill. the selector knob probably broke on the inside. if so you'll need to get a new knob. I use ereplacementparts.com for my individual parts needs.

the problem is the metal part of the clutch that meets the pin from the transmission. remove the 4 screw from the clutch & check if the the inside of the clutch & the trans pin meets. all you can do is to push back the metal parts of the clutch setting.

The brushes might need to be replaced. You can find them on Ebay and are easily to replace.

I am assuming you are talking about
not being able to move the "Mode Control Collar" and unless you can
get it out of hammer mode, you will not be able to change the torque collar
either. If you feel comfortable taking it
apart AND its no longer under warranty, my best guess without seeing the tool will
be part# N026313 Gear Case Assembly. It costs about $80.00 US Hopefully its under warranty, if so
