You're in download mode. If you're not connected to USB, then pull the battery and plug it back in. This will restart your device.

SOURCE: I have been trying to

Most likely that it's faulty. Sometimes it takes awhile before it charges itself, specially it you drained. But if you left it plugged in for a day and still nothing happened then I think it's gone dead.

Try the following though and see if it helps.

1. Press and hold the power for about 10-15 seconds. or
2. Press and hold the power and the Volume up or Volume down at the same time for about 10-15 seconds.

If nothing happens then I suggest you send your tab for a repair.

Hope it helps.

SOURCE: I bought my Samsung Galaxy

It sounds to me like you have an issue with your Galaxy Tab's charging port.

Fortunately it is still under warranty if you've just recently purchased it.

Take it back to the store or contact Samsung for a warranty replacement. They may be able to help you recover items from the memory.

Hope this helped!

Thanks!

SOURCE: samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 wgxa model GT-P5113 is frozen

Hold the power button down for up to 15 seconds. This should hard reset it. Not to be confused with erasing data.

The screen has frozen in e mail and i cannot switch off or move to another function or do anything

If your Samsung GT-P1000 Galaxy TAB is frozen and unresponsive, press and hold [POWER ] for 8-10 seconds. The device will reboot automatically.
If this does not solve the problem, perform a factory data reset. In Menu
mode, select Settings ? Privacy ? Factory data reset ? Reset phone ? Erase everything
