I have had the same problem I think it may have something to do with the split screen setting on the remote control.

lines on a plasma tv can be cause by a few different things. One of your buffers might be bad. The logic board might be bad. Or your tv screen coldu be bad. The only way to find out is by replacing the boards or the screen.
if you faced just black lines (movable) then this might be due to flex cable or if the dotted and lines are fixed at some places then you have to replace the LCD of your Laptop. for best guidance please placed your Laptop Brand and Model description.
Hi I have a LG RZ42px11 there are 6 vertical thick black lines running down the middle off the screen, when cold the TV seems OK but if it has been on for around 10mins or on standby the lines stay on screen.
Its probably due to the roller, which are supposed to be changed every so often anyway.
With use, the rollers become scored/worn in places. The excess toner powder that is not used in the printing process is removed by a rubber blade. When the roller becomes worn it isn't wiped clean by the blade ... and you get that characteristic black line down the paper.
Change the roller. You'll probably pick one up on ebay.
not sure if this is the fix or not ...but i was tryin to fix a problem with my tv(not the same as yours)...but in the menu under adanced you can split the screen ....when i do that it puts a blue line down the middle of the screen
This might be a mediaplayer issue. Google on EHtray.exe and you will find a microsoft page with a number of filenames related to these kind of problems. Check by pressing CNRL-ALT-DEL and check if you see any of the filenames on the processes tab. Than stop the file and see if the black line disappears.
