Something is possibly overheating and cutting out? Or due to recent timer change it may be wire connection that's come loose or a wire has got trapped underneath something and cut through the wire causing an intermittent fault.

inglis is a whirlpool brand, and your within their 1 year coverage, you might contact them and see if they will send out a tech. doesnt solve your problem, but it sounds like a motor problem to me.
The motor might have a manual overload. If it does it will probably be a red push button. Just push it to reset it. If that is not the problem then I would check the cord to see if you don't have a broken wire, possible at the plug or where the wire takes a sharp bend during normal operation or storage when you are done using the machine.
