I inherited an old Sunpack Softlite 1600A Flash, with no manual. Does anyone know if will work with an Olympus OM-D e-M5?

The OM-1MD is the same camera as the OM-1 with the added provision for taking a motor drive to advance the film automatically.

The OM-1n is the same as the OM-1MD with a redesigned film advance lever, a flash ready/sufficient flash LED in the viewfinder, and automatic X-sync regardless of the position of the FP/X switch, when it is used with a T-series flash unit mounted on Flash Shoe 4.

ifyour nikon has a hotshoe it should work quite well. I use sunpak flash on both canon and olympus without any problems. Just connect to hotshoe and shoot.

You are able to use your old OM lenses with a new Olympus digital SLR camera. You will need to purchase an MF-OM 1 lens adapter to be able to connect these lenses to the digital SLR camera. Also when using these lenses you will only be able to use the camera in manual focus mode as these lenses are not capable to shhot with an auto focus mode.

You can use the lens from your old OM camera on the EVOLT E-410. You would need to purchase an MF-OM-1 adapter to make those lenses fit the new digital SLR camera. Also when using those lenses the camera would need to be used in Manual mode as there is no auto focus capability when using the old OM lenses.

The reason you’re not finding a download of your cameras manual is because the Olympus OM F is actually the Olympus OM 30, and was only called the F in limited markets. To get a download of your camera manual Google search "Olympus om 30 camera manual download" and the first link should bring up your camera's specs, and down at the bottom of the page there is a link that says OM manual. This link should bring up a PDF file of your camera's manual.

at a whopping 46.6V.. yes, it would damage it.

You will need the proper module. Check with B&H photo for the module compatable with your Olympus camera body.

According to this site, the Sunpak 1600A is NOT USABLE with the FZ20: http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html The tested voltage of the 1600A is 46.6V, which is WAY above the 24V max specified by Panasonic. Don't even try it...
