The problem you described seems to come from your ps3 game controller (pad). You can try a different one and see if it works.

If the game pad is charging, the ports are ok.

Probably the fan is bad, you need to take the gaming pc to a technician who will replace the fan.

your problem may be a graphics card issue. Did it work with the expansion packs or start problems when you installed the expansions?

Mouse not working correctly duing game of Zuma

Spoke to an expert "cheers JEZ" and found I had too much stuff running at start up. Went into "run" in the START Menu, typed msconfig and unticked stuff that wasn't needed to be running in the back ground. It seems to be running OK now.

Ok dont worrry take a wet nap or wet towel something wet an slightly dabb it and then open the battery and clean the battery blow air into the tight spaces and put the battery back in the ds and close the back then see if it turns on. If not then call Nintendo at 1-800-225-3700

It seems as if your disc reader has tapped out. I suggest that you call Microsoft and either A. send it in. or B. have them send you a new disc reader.
