Check the kitchen drawer next to the fridge for the screws !!

When you get new screws, use lengths 1/2".. any longer and you might hit something inside.

Don't know why this is posted under IS-LCDTV26.. I would pull a screw from my 26" and measure it, but it's most likely different than your 42"

They are metric screws, you van get them at Lowe or HD, try M5 or M6. they are about 35cent each so you can try difference length.

Read the informations of those screws to tighten the tv and the base stand together.Read it in ur owner manual for those exactly screws sizes.Standard screws tvs sizes for a 46" are screw (M4 X L16).

What size is the screw connecting fam to stand?
So many TV's on market, each make and model with their own sizes, can't guess offhand.

I guess 'fam' is a mistype for 'frame'?
Your TV operator manual should have that info, otherwise enter your make / model number at manualslib.com where, if you're lucky, they should have the (free) manual in PDF format.

Side-note:
My LCD uses 4 mm machine screws to connect the TV body to its foot-stand, and 8 mm screws for the wall-bracket mount.

Ok, this is what I did. I had to remove the four screws in the back of the tv. You can look in your manual for what screws or look up toshiba.com ... customer support, and enter your model number and from there you should be able to find the manual.
