Arched convergence I have a Sony 51" rear projection tv. I dont know the exact model number because its faded on the rear. The picture is concaved at the top and bottom. The colors are also off. Its too heavy to take to a tech and Im too cheap to pay someone to come out and look at it. I no longer have the original remote either. Does anyone know what the problem might be or where I can get a replacement part. I googled "sony 51" and this is the model that my tv looks like....if it helps "KP-51HW40"

I have the same problem and have replaced the entire "D" board which has the convergence amps on it. The problem remains. Any other suggestions? This first occured when we turned on the tv. Worked fine the night before.

You can order convergence amps for the unit. If you open the unit and find that there are STK392-110 in the unit, you'll want to order STK392-150 to replace them with as they are less likely to fail.

You can always open the unit and check the convergence amps to see what part they are and then Google that.
