Generic Dishwasher pump replacement videos. Basically, pull it out, tip it on its back, remove hoses, remove electric connector, unscrew fixing screws.
Blomberg machines are special. The insulation and access to side parts are concealed. The dishwasher is encased in stainless steel panels, so you actually need to totally disconnect and remove your d/w for this repair. I bought the little parts, nice and cheap, but I am not going to uninstall and reinstall the entire unit for this little inconvenience. I am going to fashion a swing-down door prop instead.
Doug Smith\'s solution of Oct. 20, 2008 worked for my Blomberg Dwt57500ss model. Removed small filter basket by pinching 2 tabs inward at the top of the basket. Turned larger basket counter-clockwise by hand and lifted out stainless steel screen. Used wet/dry vac to suck all the water out. The anti-flood switch reset itself. Turn power back on to unit, and pressed start. Then pressed program I wanted to use and reset button to start machine. Worked immediately and started washing dishes.
If your Blomberg dishwasher will not drain, it might be the same problem that I had. The filter is a bad design and it lets a lot of debris through. The hose from the dishwasher to the main drain is very small and it gets plugged. Under the sink, loosen the clamps around the hose going into the main drain and take off the dishwasher hose. I use a screwdriver to push the debris through the small hose (that is attached to the big main drain hose) into the big one where it will be carried away. Then I turn on the dishwasher, hold the start button of the dishwasher for three seconds and shut the door. It drains like magic. The first time I did this, it took two hours to figure it out and now I can do it in three minutes. I am going to write to Blomberg now and see about this terrible filter system!
