My Tomtom 825 does not work - how can you help?

You just need to go to www.tomtom.com look for your gps model and usually under specifications there is a downloads link or go to bottom of that page. From there you need to click on the downloads section link and then enter your model in. Then you should be able to download the manual. They have changed this as it was a lot easier before.

This is a classic use of the old PEMDAS rule. The order of operation goes by Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication/Division, Addition/Subtration. Take it step by step to avoid getting mixed up.
The first operation done is (410-360) which = 50. New Equation: 825 - (659 - 50 x 684) = ? The second operation done is 50 * 684 which = 34200 New Equation: 825 - (659 - 34200) = ? The third operation done is 659 - 34200 which = -33541 New Equation: 825 - (-33541) = 825 + 33541 = ? it becomes +33541 because subtracting a negative is the same as adding the positive. The final operation done is 825 + 33541 which = 34366 Your Final Solution Is:
825 - (659 - (410 - 360) * 684) = 34366

You entered it correctly. Although you can leave out the parentheses if you want. The calculator will do exponents before it does multiplication or division just like it does multiplication and division before it does addition and subtraction. It has a built in order for hierarchy of operations. You only need to use parentheses if you want to do something that is different from this order. FYI, dividing by a negative exponent is the same as multiplying by a positive exponent. You could enter it in either way. .825/10^-3 = .825*10^3 = 825. I hope this helps you out.
