I want my safari icon back - Icon Computers & Internet

Safari is in the Applications folder on your disk drive. Using the Finder, navigate to the Applications folder (it's listed in the left side bar) and find Safari. Click and drag the Safari icon onto your dock and release. Voila.

Settings - General - restrictions. Make sure safari is set to On. or Settings - Reset >-Reset Home Screen Layout. last try and restore if all else fails--Good Luck.

Press round button twice , icon bar should come up on bottom row , press safari icon and it should shake with delete red circle on it . Press delete . Then turn off and turn back on . Usually means screen in safari jamed in a operation. This process dosent delete it of your machine it just resets it.

You have probably just deleted the icon off your dock at the bottom of the screen.What to do is to go to the applications folder find safari and then just drag it onto the dock and that will give you the safari icon back on the dock. Hope this helps.

it is saying safari is not connected. Because safari cant connect to the internet via the ipod, you need to connect to a wireless network with the ipod then open safari and it will work

you can use the search feature to find safari program then copy and paste the icon back to your desktop

I am taking it when you talking about icons it is the ones in the dock. What I think is happening is these icons have lost their association with the relevant applications. To get rid of the icons click and hold down the icons in the dock and then drag them onto the desktop this will delete the icons not the applications from the dock.

Now go to your applications folder and check that itunes and safari are in the folder. Once you have found them just single click on them and then drag them onto the dock. This should correct the problem.

If the applications are not in the folder you will have to download them from apple site again and reinstal them. Then you can use the method above to put the icons back on the dock.

What do you mean by "lost the icon"? If it's not in the dock anymore, but still on your hard disc, you probably just dragged the icon out of the dock. Go to your Applications folder an drag the icon back in your Dock. – You can also use Spotlight (upper right corner, menu bar) to search for Safari.

If you want to get rid of the Safari icon on your dock:
just click on the Safari icon and drag it away from the dock, then let go of the icon.
It should just disappear.

If you want to get rid of the Safari icon on your screen (I'm assuming on your desktop):
-open a new Finder window (Finder> New Window)
-click on the Safari icon on your desktop and drag it to the Finder window, where it says "Applications", then let go of the icon
- it should disappear from your desktop

You can copy the Safari application from another Mac running the exact same version of the Mac OS as your machine, using a CD or USB stick.
