SOURCE: Brew unit in Miele coffee system CVA615 block

It sounds like the connector or wiring that links the LCD display board on the door to the main PCB inside the coffe maker has become loose or damaged.
This would cause the text displayed to become scrambled.
Its a 26 way connector that is labelled JP16 (on the next model up) and is next to a large IC.

SOURCE: cuisinart coffee maker won't brew

Here is the basic troubleshooting for the Cuisinart coffee makers:
Make sure all baskets are in proper place – especially if unit is beeping.
Do not use a paper and a gold-tone or other permanent filter at the same time.
Unplug for LONGER THAN 15 full minutes to reset.
Clean by brewing 2 oz of distilled white vinegar/2 oz water.
If these methods fail, the unit probably requires replacement – call Cuisinart as they have a longer-than-standard warranty.

SOURCE: coffee maker won't brew

This one has two AUTO dial settings - AUTO-ON and AUTO-OFF. AUTO-OFF merely keeps the hot plate warm for a fixed period of time. AUTO-ON is the one that allows your coffeemaker to go off at the pre-programmed time in the morning.

If it is set to AUTO-ON, but is not brewing at the set time, unplug the machine for longer than 20 minutes. Then plug it back in, reset the clock, reset the prog time for a time that is just a few minutes into the future, and then test the auto-on feature.

If it stil ldoes not brew, just turn the machine to brew and press on. If it brews a pot, then your problem is electrical. If it doesn't brew a pot on the regular brew setting, then you either have: A) Calcium buildup/clog, or B) a hose leak (or worse).

To rule out the calcium buildup possibility, let half a caraffe worth of vinegar sit in the water reservoir for about an hour. After the hour, turn it to brew and press on, and brew the vinegar just as if it were coffee. If the vinegar goes through, your problem is solved.

Otherwise, call Cuisinart and find out if you are still in-warranty. Thep roduct has a 3-year warranty.

Good luck!

SOURCE: miele coffee maker cva 4070

OK. Here's the deal. I struggled with this CVA 4070 (F 73) problem also recently, and even posted a questions in the cyber world about it. I jiggled, re-cleaned the machine, re-read the Miele manual, and scoured the internet for schematic drawings of this brewing unit's insides. No luck. Finally after finding out I'd have to pay $199 just for a service clown to walk in my front door, I said NYET!!!  I must solve by myself. If I can take apart & fix my Dyson, etc, etc, I WILL DO THIS TOO!!  (MUST HAVE COFFEE>>>)
Pull out the brewer, turn it a quarter-turn to your right, and look at the spot where that small black plastic piece -- shaped like a block "M" or block "W" -- should be situated. Pull it out, if it isn't out already. Don't worry about yanking it out or harming these parts, said the Miele troubleshooter guy in New Jersey on the phone. They're "made from the same plastic used in football helmets."  Okey-dokey.
This approx. 1.5" wide, blocky plastic piece is part of the "slide" that takes the brewed coffee grounds into the waste container. When positioned correctly, it looks like a block "W,"  with the "wings" ointing up, and slides in just under a brown 1.5" flat piece. A small, down-facing tab on the brown piece clicks into the "W" piece and holds it in place. The "W" should feel fairly solid, although it is not rigidly in place, as the entire mechanism is a movable system to deposit the grounds in the waste receptacle.
Put everything back inside your CVA 4070 "love" machine, hit "on," and wait for it to go through its warm-up.  No F73 message?  Yeah!  Mission Accomplished. You, like I, have fixed your Miele, saved your family relationships, and saved yourself a bundle from unnecessary service calls.

CVA 4066 built-in Coffee System. Why doesn't it dispense more than a tiny bit of coffee into a cup?

Just so you know, we are Fixya, we aren't Miele.

You need a seal kit, basically a set of o-rings for the brew head. This machine ends up in Fixya far too frequently!

You should be able to, If you can remove it and providing there are no Electrical parts, then soak in a white vinegar and water solution.
Or a Descaler.

I have a three month old Miele CVA 4066. I have recently cleaned the unit twice (using little tablets in coffee grinder), as well as descled. The coffee, expresso, etc. is barely dripping out of the unit. ...

your brew unit is clogged. It will need to be removed and cleaned every 24 hours as per the owners manual. There is a yellow laminated card in the box with the accessories that shows step by step how to perform the 24 hour maintenance. To prolong the life of the brew unit, make sure the coffee grind size lever is in the middle or to the right of center, rather than the left (fine) side. Also, you only want to use dry beans, preferably espresso beans. Oily beans like french roast will clog that brew unit up very quickly.

Miele CVA 4075 brew unit locked

Turn your machine off. Close the door. Depress <clear>, holding it down, press <on/off> then let go of both. Then press <clear> 3 times. On 3rd time, hold it until Service menu appears. Select <brew unit> then press left arrow to turn from <off> to <on>. Then press right arrow by <select> This will turn your brew unit drive to the correct position and you should be able to get your brew unit in/out and your waste container back in. Make sure to turn your machine off/on again to get out of Service Menu. I have a picture of how the wire needs to be inserted to get that back on. It's definitely not intuitive, but send another note with your email address and I can send the pics.

Miele brew unit jammed and brewunit block is being displayed

There is a third solution. The brewunit drive motor has three contact switches that indicate home, preset (loading grounds, I assume) and make espresso. The problem is the three contact switches are all on one circuit, so the microprocessor knows a limit switch has been reached, but it doesn't know which one. The programming obviously assumes the limit switches are reached in the correct sequence. In my case, the microprocessor thought the brew unit was in home position when it was in the make espresso position. Miele technical support recognized this immediately, so it is a common problem. The solution is to remove the top panel of the unit, unplug the unit, unplug JP34 on the microprocessor board (four wires, red/yellow/brown/black, in the middle back edge of the microprocessor board). Plug in the unit, put it in maintenance mode, and press and hold the medium coffee button for several seconds. This will move the drive motor past the current limit switch. Plug JP34 back in, plug in the machine, and put it in maintenance mode. Press and hold the large coffee button for a second or two, maximum. Open the machine, and look at the brew unit drive male gear in the main machine as compared to the brew unit female gear. It will take several tries to get the male/female gears to match so you can plug in the brew unit. Once this is done, and the brew unit snaps in place correctly, place the machine in maintenance mode one more time and press and hold the Medium Coffee button to reset the microprocessor with the limit switches. You should be back in business!
