I have an rca tablet, model R CT6773W22. It gradually shut down program by program until it just stopped working. Well, it turns on, but that is as far as it gets.

I tried resetting a couple times to no avail. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Office word 2007 installed on vista shuts down when I try to open a file

It could just be a bad install. Try doing a repair via windows 'add/remove hardware' and or a complete uninstall then reinstalling. Would be worth running a registry cleaner and defrag drive before reinstalling. Another thing to try if you haven't already done it is to close down all other programs first, just in case it's a memory issue. Good luck

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-62628 power shuts off!

You most likely have some faulty capacitors on the power module. You can easily identify a bust capacitor. They will have swollen tops. Here is a sample pic:
3f4732b.jpg
Check the specifications of the faulty capacitors, and getthe replacements from your local electronics shop. If you are comfortable withthis, you can use a pair of needle nose pliers to G-E-N-T-L-Y pull out thedefunct capacitors. Once that is done, solder in the new capacitors carefully. Ifare unsure how to do this, try to get a friend who knows this kinda stuff to doit for you, or get a qualified technician.
Warning: If you do not have a background inelectronics repair, or are inexperienced, get a qualified technician to do itfor you.

REMEMBER there are very dangerous voltages inside a TVthat can KILL. Be sure to work SAFE when dealing with electricity. DISCONNECTTHE POWER BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING.

If you want to go in for a long term solution, youcan easily replace the whole power board. You can get spare from HERE.
They also offer FREE online technical advice as you do the DIY..

Hope that helps!

My RCA tablet model#RCT6293w23 locked out of tablet due to a virus/scam cannot access anything on tablet how do Ifactory reset when I can't use the settings or access any part of the tablet

You must then do a factory reset using the Power and Volume
Buttons.

Here is a good link that tells and shows how to do it:

http://www.rcatablets.com/how-completely-reset-your-rca-rct6103w46-android-422-tablet

The model number is not the same but it should work anyhow.

There is a typo in Step 1, however so do this instead:

With the tablet turned OFF (not sleep but OFF) press and hold down at the same time both the Volume(-) button and the Power button. Continue to hold both of them down until you get a screen with the Android Robot, and or green text. That should set you up to follow the instructions.

Good luck.

Cannot log in or turn off tablet to reboot. Touch screen not working.

You should be able to press and hold the power on switch for several seconds and get the tablet to shut down. If it won't shut down with the power switch, leave it on until it shuts off due to low battery and then recharge and try rebooting the device. If it won't reboot after that, check your manual for the factory reset process. See if you can contact customer support for your unit and get the process for re-flashing the bios from them. That usually requires loading a specific set of files onto the external memory SD card and holding down a switch when restarting the tablet. All files and downloaded apps will be erased if you have to go that way.

How do you program an RCA "RCR 615 DCM1" universal remote? Any instructions out there?

I know this is an old post, however if anyone else needs to know how to program the RCA RCR 615 DCM1 universal remote here is how: Turn on the device you wish to program, dold the device button you wish to program (tv, vcr, dvd, etc.) While holding the button with one hand, press and hold the power button with the other, hold both buttons until the device button lights up and stays on then release both buttons at once. Light should remain on. Point remote toward the device and press play button every 5 seconds until device shuts off. Once the device shuts off, with remote still pointed toward the device, slowly hit the reverse button (rewind button) until the device turns on again and then hit stop button. Now your device should be programmed. Repeat for each device. Hope this helps someone, because I had this problem myself and I played around with the remote until I figured it out . This may work for other RCA RCR----- remotes as well.

RCA RCR312W remaote control

Manual Code Search and Entry 1. Manually turn on the TV
2. Press and hold the TV button The illuminated ON•OFF key turns on and remains on.
3. While holding the component key down, press and hold the ON•OFF key. The illuminated ON•OFF key turns off.
4. After holding down both keys for three seconds, the illuminated ON•OFF key turns back on.
5. Release both keys. The illuminated ON•OFF key remains on. TIP: Throughout the programming of each key, be sure to keep the remote pointed at the IR sensor of the component you are currently programming the remote to control.
6. Press and release the ON•OFF key repeatedly until your component turns off. Each time you press the ON•OFF key, the illuminated ON•OFF key blinks, and the next
code in the list is sent. This process continues until all of the codes in the Code Lists have been searched. If your component turns off, you have found the correct code.
TIP: Because there are so many codes, you may have to press the ON•OFF key many times-possibly up to 200 times.
7. Once you have found the correct code, you must save the new code by pressing and releasing the STOP key. The illuminated ON•OFF key turns off. You must press the STOP key to save the code or the correct code will not be stored!
8. To confirm that the component key is programmed with the correct code for maximum functionality, test the component. Attempt to control a variety of the component's functions with the remote. If some of the features of your components do not work, try programming the remote with a different code in the list until you find the code that allows the remote to control the majority of your component's functions. Different codes can provide different levels of functionality
