To disable the child lock (control panel lock) on the Electrolux EFDE210TIW, press and hold the Dry Time and Wrinkle Release key pad buttons until the indicator light goes off. These are the two buttons to the right of the LCD screen. You will need to hold the buttons for several seconds (usually between 3 and 10 seconds depending on when the dryer was manufactured).
See page 11 in the user manual. The manual is available on the product page: https://www.electroluxappliances.com/Washers-Dryers/Washing-Machines/Dryers/EFDE210TIW/ . The direct link to the English version of the manual is currently http://manuals.electroluxappliances.com/prodinfo_pdf/Webster/136936001en.pdf .
I hope this helps.

Hello Elizabeth P Cochran - Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. If the door does not open, then it sounds like the washer is possibly experiencing a communication problem with the control board, wiring failure or faulty door lock. Contact a professional to move forward accurately to properly diagnose/repair unit.
