SOURCE: Consew 206rb-5 timing
Those 2 buttons do NOT set the timing . The button on the left is to change the stitch length . the one on the right is to engage the safety clutch after it has been tripped .
SOURCE: I need a manual for a consew 206rb-1???? anyone
I have one and will copy it for you. Leave your phone number or give me your address.

If you have not already done so, take about 2 arm lengths of thread off your spool to make sure you have not hit a bad spot in the thread. Inspect your needle plate where the needle passes through it and make sure there are no bad nick's or mars on it. If there are use a peice of emery paper to sand them out. Also run a pecice of lighter material through your top tensions discs to make sure no debris has gotten caught in them. Hope this helps you out?
The motor is most likely straining to run the machine. It would be best to address the issue since continued use could cause motor damage.
