if the radio alarm is still showing the nonexistent 98.5, you would need to reset the radio alarm. Press and hold button 1 (top left hand side) until the display starts blinking. Then press the preset button for 98.1. It should then display 98.1 on your radio alarm. good luck this is the most difficult set of instructions I've seen yet

Have you done the presets on the memory. Do that then select the station you want to wake up to. Hopefully its fm. Per the instruction manuel . Set or adjust the alarm time if necessary. Press the Alarm on/off button if necessary until one of the alarm indicatior either the note or alarm appears on display when the buzzer alarm is selected. While the alarm time display is flashing press the tuner button to select am, fm, or tv band. The selected indicatior appears in the display ( Note : you can only select the band when you have selected wake to music. While the alarm time display is flashing press one of the preset buttons to select the station you wish to hear when the alarm goes off.

I had the same problem took off the two screws in the back and one under the cd cover once I took it apart the am rod was loose i put a piece of duct tape to hold it down and it works great, don't drop it anymore

Work around if no instructions. Set radio to desired station in sleep timer mode (for 10 minutes worked for me). When the alarm went off, it was on that station the next day!
