How do i reset my odo on a repco 9f bike speedometer

no, the engine will run at higher rpm's than normal and can cause damage. if trying to get it home...drive much slower than normal and have flashers on.

try to disconnect the negative with the key on.. then turn the key off..reconnect the negative and see if it resets..

I had the same problem with my neutral light, but the engine should not cut off when the bike is in neutral this is how you can warm up your bike (if it was cutting out before then it could be a short in the wire). Secondly, the speedo and odo problem that sounds like the wires have come disconnected since they both run off the same wheel. Look for a disconnected set of wires, and/or broken wire (from road debirs) that could be causing the problem. Let me know if this helps.

U WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE SPEEDOMETER AND SEND IT OUT TO A FORD SPEEDOMETER REPAIR CENTER.

IT's ODO meter and you can not IT"S illegal!!!

press and hold the milometer button which resets yr mileage or push in and twist and make sure the ignition is on or it wont work bud

I have one too, the manual is incorrect. Only hold the LEFT side for 3 seconds, and the info will reset.if you hold BOTH sides, the whole speedometer resets, making you re-enter all the info again such as weight, time wheel size, etc... ALOT of people are having this same problem.

Just hold the LEFT side only and you will be all set.

This may sound difficult, but it is really simple; the reset takes 30 seconds; here you go:

Get in the car.
Turn the key ON (do not start it)
Observe the odometer. Is it on ODO (total mileage driven?
If not, depress the reset stick by the speedometer from trip a or
trip b until ODO is shown, and the total mileage traveled is displayed.
Turn the key OFF
Press and HOLD the reset stick on the instrument panel (trip a/trip b button), and HOLD it until advised to release it.
Turn the key ON (do NOT start the engine)
Observe the odometer: You will see 5 dashes, 4 dashes, 3 dashes, 2 dashes, and the 1 dash, followed by 5 zeros. The total mileage you started with will be redisplayed.
You may now release the reset stick.
Start the engine, the maint light will be reset.
What procedure does: It adds 5,000 miles to your odometer, and the light will come back on in 5 K miles.
