Kenmore dryers are configured in several different ways as far as the location and routing of the dryer belt. For drawings of how the belt is configured on your dryer, go to Repairclinic.com and click on the "Repair Help" link. On the following page locate the "Dryer Belt Diagrams" link under the "Special Features" section. Scroll down to the Kenmore section and refer to diagrams H, B, or K. If you are not certain, please post back with your complete model number (located on a nameplate around the door opening) and I can determine for you. I hope this helps you.
