I HAVE A MIELE CVA6805 PLUMBED. THE MAIN DISPENSOR UNIT IS HARD TO PUSH UP OR PULL DOWN. HOW CAN I CORRECT THIS?

You can buy some Miele Descaling tabs on Amazon aprox $21 and run the descaling program.
That's what I do to get it clean.

Here is the service manual. You need to check the switch that registers that the tray is in place. These machines need dealer service every 6 to 9 months.

Defective brew unit drive.
Replace it and you are good to go.

It's always recommended to replace brew unit also.

pull it open from the top... squeeze the top sides of the lighter part and pull it down like a drawbridge. If they installed it correctly, it wont rip off the wall.

pull the stainless steel dispenser cover straight down as far as it will go. now push it firmly up as far as it will go. if the error message still appears, repeat, but push up faster and harder. there is a switch monitoring the position of the central jets to make sure they are installed. you have to push up hard enough to close that switch. sometimes you have to slam it pretty good, but dont go crazy on it. just give it a firm touch.

Unplug unit
Remover dispensor housing. Careful not to break tabs.
You will see the white plastic actuator arm.
Follow the arm to where it becomes part of the main support.
Push the arm you will see where the main support is catching on a plastic *** on the rear housing.
Cut or file off part of the ***. so it wont catch.
Reassemble dispensor.

Did you use the correct filter?

Remove filter, and re-install. Make sure you have properly locked the filter into place as the locking mechanism assures the filter cut off valve opens.

Also, make sure any air was purged from the water circuit by holding the water valve open for a short period of time.

When you drain the sink the water will go to the path of least resistance. Disconnect the dishwasher, cap the hole and see if water drains. If not then you have a plumbing issue.
Inside the dishwasher there is also a non return valve located in the sump. This should prevent water from entering the unit. Make sure it is in correctly.
